Title: No flash when locking car. Alarm/lock issue?
Post by: tlnds on October 22, 2015, 01:48:49 pm
I noticed my indicators have stopped flashing when I lock or unlock the car recently, and when I lock the car the red light on the door flashes quickly for a few seconds and then stays on solid for 10/15 seconds. Is this normal or would this mean I have a fault with a lock/alarm?

I don't have access to vag-com but will have to get it scanned if theres something up.

Has anyone experienced the same, or know whats up?

If it was the alarm, it is the siren that wouldn't beep.

Yours will be down to a door/bonnet/tailgate lock or sensor. Have a look through the VCDS register to see who is nearby that could scan it for you.

Do you have highline clocks? Does it show a picture of a door open when it isn't, or is there any that doesn't come up when you have a helper opening all doors/tailgate/bonnet?

Even with midline you have a red diagram when the doors open, and you can do it one by one anyway if you have a helper to make it easy
