Title: RFD delete without RFD map.
Post by: Luckyloser2.0T on October 22, 2015, 06:00:10 pm
Hi There,

I have just purchased a 2005 mk5 gti and already i have a problem with the flaps in the intake manifold.

Now i was wondering has anyone or dose anyone know how the car will run if i was to fit the flap delete kit but not get it mapped for a month or so.

Sorry for the newbe talk this is my first vw go easy on me lol.

Cheers Guys

Josh.

It will run perfectly fine. Cold start idle is a little rough/spluttery for up to 10 seconds but after that it's fine. Get it done!

^^^ also interested in people's opinion for K03, thinking of doing a valve clean somewhen and wondered whilst in there whether to do the RFD..

Lot of people will say it's pointless. I fitted it while i had the inlet off. Definitely seems to help, much more eager and makes some lovely noises now
