Hi Guys,
I installed my new south boost gauge last night & think my car might be slightly low on boost? its a 55reg Gti with 65k on the clock.
The only thing thats been done to the engine is a set of twintake's.
at full chat the the gauge shows a peak of just under 15psi and then settles at a nats nipple under 10? the vacuum sits at just over 20 whenever my foot isn't on the throttle.
I was expecting it to settle at around 12? Being me, i'm probably wrong...

That sounds about right. A log from mine.

Thanks Daz! looks almost exactly the same :happy2:

That sounds a little low. When i had a torn dv it levelled out at about 7/8

I think i'll have to use VCDS to produce a graph like yours in order to find out properly.
Bearing in mind I have very limited knowledge of how to use VCDS, could you tell me how to go about getting a graph like yours daz?
I replaced my DV a couple of thousand miles ago with the upgraded version. I bet its still fine so I don't know what could be causing low boost, unless its the OBD reader producing low/inaccurate figures.
this is a good guide

In advanced measuring blocks, always select RPM, select boost specified, actual and N75 DC%, plus anything else that you want to log. Don't forget to hit the 'turbo' button at the top to increase sample speed.
Start logging before you go WOT so you dont miss anything, can always not graph the useless data. Won't need to repeat it 4 times though, once is ok, twice is plenty. There is a useful marker feature you can use, hit the spacebar while you are logging and it adds a marker in the CSV file to easily find the data you're looking for

Do you want to fit mine? I've had it 3 years now and still not fitted it, looks a right pain in the arse job.
