Hi all,

My name is Dave and I'm based in Dublin, Ireland. My wife has been driving a MK5 DSG GTI for 4 years and every time I got in it I just swore one day I'd buy myself one.

And that day arrived 3 weeks ago :happy2: :jumpmove:

Got myself a 2007 year model Tornado Red, 5 door, DSG with leather, climatronic, Zenons and a few other bits. Absolutely chuffed with it!! It's originally an English car but was imported into Ireland in 2008

Few tinys bits need doing but so far seems a straight motor :happy2: :happy2:

Being originally an English car it came with a much nicer spec. Climatronic, folding mirrors with puddle lights, cruise, etc. The Irish cars were very poorly specced when they were first released. You had a choice between Air Con or a sunroof at the time :laugh:

Only thing I'm missing is a mfsw with paddles, but my wife's car has one and she said I can swop it out! Chuffed :jumpmove:

Years ago an indie garage gave me a loaner of a red Mk4 GTI for about two weeks. I'd never owned a red car, and I'd never thought of buying a red car. But that two week spell got under my skin! I'm so chuffed now to have completed the circle and actually bought one.

Now it's time to get modding... (Nothing too crazy - I'm a bit old for that - OEM++ I'm thinking :smiley:)

Couple more pics... Need some RCD510 action, a bit of drivers seat foam bolster refurbing and them some color coding with a side dish of wheel and ride height attention :laugh:
