Title: Pirelli Edition 5-door DSG recent purchase.
Post by: noj66 on October 26, 2015, 01:20:46 pm
Hiya, recently bought a metallic black 5-door DSG Pirelli from a general used car dealer.I bought it over the phone and only realised driving it back from Nottinghamshire to St.Helens that it had been remapped and modded. It's a low mileage car at 44k and very well specced with most options including the RNS510 and Xenon headlights.I have owned loads of VAG cars over the years and must say this is(or certainly feels)the fastest I've driven. In the past I have had an S3 and a Mk6 Golf R.
It's fun to drive but in the wet it's difficult to put any power down.

Cheers,i'll probably keep it a year or so.No plans for it other than getting it to someone who can fill me in on what mods it has had.
My local VW specialist put it on the ramp for me and it has all poly bushings,a decat Milltek system,Dogbone(whatever the fook that is!) and various other bits including an APR carbon air intake. To me it also looks and feels lowered,it's very stiffly set up.All I can really see are blue springs, need to get someone who knows their stuff to confirm if it has coilovers etc. As you can probably tell modding is not really my scene.
It has total VW service history and came with 4 matching Pirelli P Zeros so has obviously been very well cared for.I think it'll be a Mk.7 GTD for me next, getting too old for this kind of stuff!

Honestly haven't got a clue.100 seems to come up very quickly.Years ago I had a VR6 that would touch a hundred as I left the slip road of the M62 on my way to work and that was my benchmark for a fast car. This would be doing(theoretically!) over 130.
There's a place in Wigan,KMS Motorsport that I found by Googling APR dealers locally so i'll maybe try and get it down to them.

Get it down to me mate and I'll go over it with you, I have a unit with a ramp in and I'm only local to St Helens, could scan and log it with VCDS to see what she's doing.

I also have a stage 1 Edition 30 and a stage 1 Mk7 R so can see how it is in comparison. :)
