Hi, iv recently bought a mk5 gti and live in nuneaton. I was wondering if people ever meet up from the forum? Also what is there to look out for mechanically?

Welcome Jord!

Cam follower, Diverter valve & PCV are common failures. Highly recommend replacing all of them when you buy a GTI - lots of diy guides on here  :happy2:

Have a look in the forum meets section for Dyno days, club stands at shows & General meets

Im from Coventry, so just down the road to you. I go to Dub Club every wednesday during the summer and very occasional in the winter. You'll have to let me know when you next go and ill come along! :driver:

Its a great meet in the summer, so many people turn up from across the midlands. Get some real smart cars there  :happy2:
