Hi all,
I'm new on here, be gentle with me..... :happy2:
In the process of buying a mates mk5 5 door 2 lite petrol auto dsg. Took it for a spin yesterday and love it.
There are a couple of faults tho but it's been well looked after and has FSH.
There is a tear in the cloth driver seat bolster and some of the foam has dropped or is missing. I phoned the local VW dealer for some prices - to replace cover and foam £560 :surprised: supply foam and cover - £350, supply cover - £250.
Like I said totally no idea with this but any pointers to other more affordable options out there?
Repairs, alternative covers, where to look for another seat ie which breakers to use.
I'm in Kent if that helps.
Thanks in advance.
Lewo.

Your far better off buying a whole set of replacement seats and door cards for that price! You can get a heated leather GTI set of seats and door cards for about £500-600! A non-heated/non-electrically adjusted set of seats will be cheaper still, if you need a hand finding some on eBay then give me a shout when your post count is high enough to send private messages. :happy2:

Ok will bear that in mind thank you. Another option is to get it repaired for now so If anyone of places in Kent to try please let me know. Cheers.
