For the last 18 months my Ed30 has had a really jerky clutch engagement in 1st gear. Slow driving when parking, reversing off the drive or in traffic stop/start is shocking. As soon as there's load on the gearbox it's fine. So it really is just the slow manoeuvring it seems to have an issue with, when you'd normally slip the clutch in a manual.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Does anyone know how to check if the mechatronic is playing up? I've plugged in VCDS, reset everything and calibrated. No change.
Thanks

Most likely a mechatronic issue. Search recent posts here, you'll find a specialist in Bristol can fix it.
I had the same issue and got it fixed (jerking in 1st and reverse when setting off).

Thanks for the reply. I've had a search but couldn't find anything.
I'll see if there's someone nearer me that could take a look at the mechatronic.
