Title: MK5 GTI Oil Pump Question?

Hi Guys,

Oil Pump has gone on a mates car and the mechanic has taken his off and and seized. So He's managed to locate an 2nd hand oil pump and would like to know how he can make sure if its not seized.

Should the oil pump turn freely by hand?
