Following from my thread the other day, just wanted to see if you guys think £3500 is a good price or average for the car I want to buy.
56 plate 2 litre petrol dsg 93K miles. It has FSH until 83K. Service due soon?
As well as the seat tear to sort out there a a few dents on the nsr rear door.
I'd say the condition is fair-good.
Any thoughts? I have some questions about the dsg but I'll start another thread for that!
Thanks in advance.

GTI of course!

Sounds a bit too cheap for me

That's a decent price, just be aware of dsg problems as they will make it very expensive

Yep it's due a service, 12 months or 10k. Is there much history besides the stamps? Worth checking if it's had the cam belt and water pump as should have been done twice, at worst once.
As said, history is key and how it's been treated, especially as the dsg can be pricey to fix.

Cheers.
Cam belt has been done water pump too.
Totally stupid question how.... :ashamed:
Chatting to someone at work they said check cam chain & tensioner, cam follower & oil pickup pipe have been changed.
Checked the service paperwork when I got home and read about the cam belt having been done.
Is he on about a diesel model???
Thanks

Whereabouts in particular? Couldn't see much but then the car needs washing!
Thanks

If you look at it like a clock face it would be around the 12 / 1 area. Loads of posts on here about it. Common problem mate. Lots of issues with vw getting it sorted under the 12 year anti corrosion warranty.
