No?
Because if it's set up properly it'll only be the indicators....

Then you'll be fine.
Only issue is if you run the HEADLIGHTS at a reduced %.
This burns out the bulb/ballast.

I said quite clearly.
"US running lights" meaning the indicators are on with the side lights or dipped beam?

I have them running with sidelights and obviously when the main beam on. Just read that it can burn the indicator bulb holder out and wires too

As with any bulb it will get hot,  even running at a % of full brightness,  perhaps these depo units aren't designed to have a constant hot bulb in the indicator holder?  The oem units are designed for this as this is a requirement on US cars so will be enabled to work out there.

That's a good enough answer for me then I will just how it goes. Did you have yours coded for xenon without shutters I just see that this has to be done when using these lights, I ain't coded mine

I think what the OP is talking about is running the indicators at 100% brightness. I have heard that this can cause damage to the holders due to excessive heat. The indicator is not designed to be on all of the time. It will have a duty cycle of approx 50% (flashing) under the normal design intent.

If it helps I used to run my indicators at about 20% as US style DRL's. This was mostly because 100% looks crap and irritates other road users.

I think this is about 20%:

I believe mine are around 40% may be abit lower. I dont know if it coincidence but came out today and battery was dead its been fine up untill i put these new lights in lol

Headlights  would not effect the battery.
I never do more than 30% and even that's a bit high IMO.
If you run them at 100% you have bigger problems than bulb holders lol. You'll cause a crash!

I'm at only something like 12%

What would be interesting to know is if there are any American owners on here with vcds that could tell us what the oem % is from factory,  then you could gauge an idea of the oem set up

I have no idea tbh. It was xjay that did mine @ 30% brightness.
