Post by: Lewo on November 06, 2015, 08:57:52 am
If I end up replacing the drivers seat in the mk5 GTI 5 door, can I use any other mks, 4 or 6 etc?
Cheers

Mk6 is the same as Mk5 so they will fit. Airbag plugs may need a bit of trimming with a stanley.
Mk4 seats don't fit.
Google will tell you this also.  :happy2:

Yes.
Pinouts may be different but easily sorted.

Ok ta, the mk6 isn't a straight fit then if you have to tweak the airbag?

Well yes, they bolt in? So they are a 'straight fit'
The airbag plugs work. You may just have to trim the plugs
Heated seat plus may possibly have different pin outs so would need modifying...

My recaro buckets heared seat loom is different tobthe stock scirocco seats .
Airbag plug fits fine but the scirocco seats in my mk5 needed the clips trimming.
