Title: Bi-Xenon headlight levelling clip broken
Post by: Mark_DF05 on November 06, 2015, 04:34:24 pm
I've retrofitted xenon headlights on my car and noticed that the manual levelling clip on one of my lights has broken meaning it can't be adjusted and is loose.

I'm going to take it out and have a look asap as I don't want to be driving around dazzling other drivers but just wondered if anyone else had come across this problem and how difficult it is to fix?

I'm guessing nobody else has had this problem then?

No worries. After searching online I think the glass needs to come off to be able to access it which isn't ideal.

In wondering if I could buy a depo headlight and transfer the ballast, igniter and bulb over?

I think there is 2 types of depo lights, one are h7 another is d2s like OEM and if you are ready to buy a new one, I would try to seperate the glass.

Yeah I suppose it'd be a 10 pin plug on the depo ones too.

What I'm scared of is taking the headlight apart, it breaking and then being stuck without one.

There's someone selling a genuine one nearby without the ballast so maybe I'll get that as a backup
