Evening all.
Picked up an R32 rear bumper ready for a new exhaust, and it's got the odd light gouge and scuff.
I'd like to have a go at prepping it to save on bodyshop labour, hopefully get it to the point where only a minimal amount of finishing is needed by my painter before he sprays it.
So, I just wondered if there's a preferred filler/technique to use? I'd imagine something with a bit of flex in it? I don't want to fanny about doing it wrong for the bodyshop to spend more time reversing my efforts!
And I'm guessing after the filler it's just a case of wet and dry down to around 600?
Anyway, a few pics:

Just put that into ebay and it seems there's loads of variations. Anything in particular? Oh, and I might have a go at flatting down the textured exhaust section - would that need a different approach? Cheers

Not sure how much you need from the pics but this is the right stuff.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/U-POL-DAVIDS-ISOPON-P38-EASY-SAND-CAR-BODY-FILLER-60ml-REPAIRS-DENTS-SCRATCHES-/281159738106?hash=item41766d22fa:g:4E0AAMXQxU9R8H~x
Scotchbrite type pads will be good for the exhaust section.
EDIT Ill try and find a decent youtube vid to help... EDIT

Top man, thanks for that.
Regarding the textured bit, I found this on r32oc:
http://www.r32oc.com/topic/35227-r32-diffuser-done-gloss-black/
Mentions somewhere in the thread that trying to flatten down the dimples before primer actually 'fuzzes up' the plastic and makes the next steps more difficult. Pretty sure my bodyshop guy saim the same thing when he was doing my skirts and GTI rear. Would Scotchbrite pads flatten it without lifting up the plastic too much do you think?
Possibly going to try the approach of clean, primer, filler primer, and build up rather than flatten down. Seems the poster of that r32oc thread had some success there.
