Title: I am now a mk5 GTI owner....

As of today I bought the car I was on about last week. List of things to do....
- Learn how to drive it!
- Get car engine checked over and oil & filter changed. Bit of a squeak on start up, any ideas? Best place to get Quantum 5/30 oil?
- Get the dents on NSR door out.
- Bring the paintwork back to life.
- Make the headlights clear again! (3M still the best kit to get?)
- After that lot, enjoy it :happy2:

Had a quick look at the wings but will have a closer look when I can, car was pretty dirty and hiding a bit more damage than I thought...I know should have checked better but the price wouldn't have dropped anyhow so I've got to suck it up!
Where to look out for the paint affected, on the top straight edge on the arch at 12-1 o'clock?

Oh yes and sort out the seat!

You will love your GTI. As I'm also needing to bring my paint back to life I would love to hear/see the results and how you got them. I'm terrified to take the plunge with a DA machine and compound :(

Oh and had a quick scan of the 'rust thread' and the place to look at is on the wheel arch I take it?
