Hi all. I just got my hands on 55 plate gt tdi..
When I turn the ignition Off & on it does not remember anything.
I have checked the fuses that are in there and they are fine. There is some missing but I replaced then and still does not save. Or am I missing one ?
The dash seams to work fine tho. I have an after market stereo fitted. This remember radio stations and the time. But does not come on & off when then key is in or out ?
Hope someone can help me

They have two settings, 1 and 2 you need to change the setting

Hi. Non of the setting save. The time don't save. Nothing on the dash saves unless it the main miles.
It's like there is main main power to he dash only off the ignition power.

If the time doesn't save then it's a problem

Hmm... I might be wrong, but it sounds like there's a problem with the circuit that stays live when you remove the ignition key. Perhaps someone's replaced a relay with one of an incorrect type?

Yes that's what I'm thinking here ? Where would this relay be ?

AFAIK the main relays are in the fusebox that can be accessed if you remove the pocket that's situated in front of the drivers' right knee. I had a problem a few weeks back with the car randomly cutting out, and it was relay 460 which was in there.

AFALK?
Could the relay be broke you think. Is that where the dash relay is then ?

As Far As I Know :happy2:
Best to double check in your owners' handbook, but yes, all the dash-related relays should be located below the steering column/in front of the drivers' right knee.

Is it behind that drop down pocket thing ?
