I have only noticed when cold, when I literally put my foot down hard I see a lot of, what I thought was, dust thrown up by the tyres. The car is remapped, and friends said there is no white or blue smoke but possibly black. They not sure whether it comes from exhaust or not but there is a smell?
Occasionally traction control kicks in but when it doesn't could this smoke be from the tyres?! Or what else could it be? There is no smoke at idle or anything.

Apparently normal??

Mine along with others I know give a puff of black smoke when you first plant your foot down but after the first puff its normally clear. Been told its fairly normal for our cars cause they are direct injection and so get carbon build up over time

Ok cool. Cos I don't notice it again when I try to repeat it.

Is there anything that can be done to remove it or lessen it?
