Pretty sure s3/r32 fit 17" monzas. You'd almost certainly need a spacer for ttrs or 18z.

NQSBBK or R32/S3/Cupra setup

S3 parts fit nicely behind 17"s.  :happy2:

Thanks everyone.

What about if I just upgraded the discs / pads and used the std calipers. What disc size could I use?

Also I assume if I went for S3 brakes do I go for a set off a similar year car ie 2007/8?

Thanks

There is no disc only upgrade for std calipers, the NQSBBK is a 4pot Porsche caliper on the standard discs. As for S3 brakes as long as its the same era so S3 8P/ MK5 R32/ Cupra K1 they will all fit. Even MK6 R and MK7 R ones fit I believe. There's quite a few floating sets around

There is also the option of 17Z Porsche Cayenne calipers that use a 330mm front disc and 6 piston Brembo caliper but this kit will require the on use of spacers on your Monza alloy wheels.

As mentioned, the NQSBBK uses the Porsche Boxster (986) front calipers with adaptor brackets and the stock 312mm discs so is a very cost effective brake upgrade capable of some good power.

Audi S3 8P / Mk2 Seat Leon Cupra R / Mk5 Golf R32 / Mk6 Golf R all use a larger front caliper and disc (345mm over 312mm) and is a direct replacement for the GTI setup. Also doesn't require any spacers to work with 17 inch alloy wheels plus its the most cost effective upgrade if you only plan to run up to a moderate stage 2 tune.

I have the Audi S3 8P brakes front and rear behind my 17" Monza's at the moment and they are fab, work brilliantly.

Because the front calipers are snug in the 17" Monza's, it becomes harder to get in behind the caliper when cleaning the wheels so i have to do a little manoeuvre of washing what i can then pulling the car forward to get the other half of the wheel that I couldn't get to by hand or brushes..

Not a big issue or downside, just more impractical when giving your car a wash if your fussy about keeping it clean.
Then again.. It gives you an excuse to get some new 18" wheels at a later date ..
