Hi, just some advice when my car is idleing there is smoke coming from the exhaust picture attached.
When driving it doesn't smoke and boosts completely fine would you say the turbo is on its last legs?
Also the car has 225k full service history never had a turbo changed.
Thanks in advance

What colour is the smoke!
If it's blue,it's possible the turbo is the problem as oil gets passed the seals and in to the exhaust,Had the the trouble on mine
-
It's more white than blue to be honest. How much did a turbo set you back?
-
If its white it could be the egr that's leaking..are you using coolant
Tubo refurb about £400
-
Yes using the recommended coolant I am losing coolant every 1000 miles it goes from max to min.
-
Check the egr and egr cooler first for leaks..just hope it's not a porous cylinder head..
-
K SEAL and sell/px to a garage
-
Pretty sure it's not a pourous head check the part number before purchase and it has revision C will check the egr and cooler see how that goes will keep you updated.
Thought about the K seal haha
-
If it is the egr and cooler, get them removed
-
I just fitted a darkside downpie and miltek system, straight away my BKD started smoking at idle, to cut a long story short I removed the downpipe and found it had oil in side. I fitted a new turbo and the smoke has gone completely.

Little update fitted darkside egr delete and removed the egr cooler and it runs beautiful again :jumpmove:
