Title: Bluish smoke on deceleration after downpipe install..
Post by: Mego on November 15, 2015, 04:25:06 pm
can anyone help to solve this..after going stage 2 my car start to buff bluish smoke when going downhill,it happens after i start to accelerate again, from what i read i have 3 options:ed

1. turbo.
2. valve cover.
3. pcv

i have changed the pcv and still no change so still the turbo and the valve cover(did the evap bypass and didnt fix it).

the problem is that parts are not available in my country and i need to order them from europe so i wanna make sure which one to order,or it might be another problem who knows.

my car is a gti mk5 with 108k km.

Thanks in advance

If it was a brand new downpipe then it could be oil that they coat the insides of the pipe with burning off

Don't suppose you have the standard downpipe laying around do you?

I got a standard DP.

Yes blue smoke is normal when changing the DP. Had it on mine a few times

Worse case is a internal oil leak but not likely if you have change the DP
