My car is nearly at 12000 miles/ 2 years so the second service is imminent(spelling).
Even though I run my own independant dealer, I am, and always have been a strong believer of dealers servicing for at least the first three years, for re-sale purposes(as I often only keep my cars for 6 months anyway). But at the same time, am very picky and meticulous where my car goes. I am willing to travel, up to approx 60 miles from Bognor Regis, to get a dealer with A1 service, that is mod friendly.
Any help much appreciated. Won't go to Peter Cooper, any ideas??

....
Is JKM Portsmouth too far? Or do you mean only a VW UK recognised VW dealer?
-
JKM are 15 miles from me but I want a VW dealer. Don't want to limit my Market when selling, as joe public just don't understand specialist dealers!
-
....
I haven't checked if they're within your 60-mile preference but I'm sure you've heard enough of my praises for my VW dealer - Loders of Dorchester - I can give you (PM) contact names etc which would help make sure you get good attention.
-
That would be good cheers RR. It's a good 200 mile round trip, but worth it i hope

I have been using Martins in Camberley.
Certain mods I have are fairly obvious but so far no awkward questions.
The staff are pleasant and if you are early enough you can wait while they do the work.

The audi dealer in camberly was very mod friendly, with RS4's, infact almost wanted modded cars!

I know its Peter Cooper, but is it just cus its a particular one in Chichester or Portsmouth?
Mine goes in to Peter Cooper at Hedge End, i will only have Colin, their Master Tech work on mine, after previous issues with cars Condition after service work.
Breeze Volkswagen at Shirley Southampton was very good for service, but unfortunately, Peter Cooper have Brought them out 2 months ago :fighting: but im sure the same service team or employed there.

I always use Caffyns in Worthing and they always seem very good.
Don't know about mods to the mk5, but my slightly modded mk1 goes there as well and never has a problem.
All the service guys seem to be really into their VW's.

That's good as that was my other option. My mate is the dp their, but just wanted to hear first hand what they are like.
-
AMD have a place in Woking - can't vouch for the service but they are certainly VW specialists and I imagine mod-friendly.

He is after a VW UK dealer though, not a specialist place.
I've given up taking mine to VW for service and just take it to Tuning Werkes in Croydon which is no good for you as its not a dealer.
From I've hear of RR praise of his dealer id suggest taking it to them. You mention not wanting to limit the sale of your car from Joe Public by not having a dealer stamp, but do you think Joe Public will be wanting to buy a modded car? Id have thought someone whos buying a modded car will have a rough idea what they are talking about and understand the reasons for taking your car to a VAG Specialist place ? ? Just a thought.

I always put my cars back to standard prior to sale, and sell the bits seperately, works out better financially that way.
And you definately limit your market by not using a main dealer, some people are so anal about buying a car with main dealer history. Doesn't bother me, as I get the parts at cost anyway, so it never costs me a fortune.
