Hi all. I have being to set the car alarm off buy leaving the window open and opening the door. I was hoping the door would not open from the inside but it did.
I have hit the lock bottom twice and still did not do anything ?
Also the alarm did not go off .
Thanks

Did you try every door for dead lock operation?
Two press of the lock button fob disengages the dead lock so only one press to check.
After that it's a scan with VCDS which will show what fault codes are stored.
List of people with the scan tool http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/board,17.0.html

Yes I have tried every door. Nothing dead locks
Here is a video

Interesting - a VCDS scan would be my next move.

Where's the door lock modules data from that scan?
-
There was no error found on it. All the error are what I have listed

I just found your scan format a bit confusing but now realise it's a diesel not a petrol - silly me! Well I haven't got a clue from what I've seen it would require physically removing panels to look at various items and their behaviour on your vehicle.
-
Lol not to worry mate. Yeh I'm thinking the same thing. Where would I start tho.
Where is the alarm fuse and the horn fuse ?
Thanks

Well I've looked back and read all your posts and feel your vehicle may have a bit history to have the very unusual faults you've listed!
I would start by followings all the wiring harness and look for a bad repair cause your faults are different to any I've experienced.
I would be looking at the aux heater, cause there favourite for taking harness out when they've had a slack connection - good luck as its a tough challenge ahead.
-
Yeh I don't no what going on with it. I know it doing my headin ...

FYI, two presses on the remote disables the deadlocks. I take it you've tried the inside handles after locking the car with one press?
-
Yes I have uploaded a video on this.

Are you sure that "safe" locking isn't turned off in VCDS?
-
I can have a look. Where would that be in vcds ?
-
I think it's central electronics from memory.
