PS4, the 360 and PS3 were rivals but the One and PS4 arent even close, the PS4 feels/looks and plays better. Just a shame Microsoft have some damn good Xbox exclusive contracts

Entirely depends on who you play games with.

Both consoles have good exclusives.

PS4 uncharted
xbox Forza.

I think the PS4 is a tad more powerful, manages games slightly better.
I think Xbox Live is a bit better than PSN/PS+ but it does the job well enough.

I had a ps3 so naturally got a ps4.

Having owned both I can honestly say the Xbox wins hands down. The controllers are of a higher quality and better exclusive games. The main thing that holds he Playstation back is the PSN though, its simply garbage. Even with fibre optic broadband my Fifa games would constantly time out causing me to loose games. This also happened on Other games too. Not to mention Playstation give you next to nothing for your subscription. Demos and freebies are sparse to say the least.

This is juat my opinion however as it's different strokes for different folks.

I've had an xbox 360 then went ps3 then ps4.

Its the ps4 for me.

My mates are kinda split between xbox and ps4. Ive always been ps4 since it came out and find it great.

From what jayha11 said about the controllers. Am the opposite i prefer the ps4 controllers lol. I don't have big hands but ps4 controller fits perfect. Xbox controller just didn't feel comfortable at all.

Psn plus i don't really see the problem with it. I go on play the games i want and thats it lol. What more is there to it?

If you have a sony tv the controller for the tv can be used for the ps4 like turning on and off and moving between menu like now tv or netflix which is handy.

Also a psn app for you mobile you can turn the ps4 on from and get messages etc to your phone.

There is also a pstv you can get and out it in another room and it streams your ps4 to that box and you can play the ps4 in another room. Am led to believe you can actually take it to another house aslong as both are connected to wifi. How good it works i don't know but it sounded good lol.

Anyway just my opinion as everyone uses it for different things.

Xbox one is by far better than the PS4. But I am also having the same problem as having a console these days you have to choose down to what your mates have too so you can play online etc. I personally would go with the xbox

I've got Xbox One and it's alright but as someone who doesn't use it much it's a pain in the arse when a circa 1 gig update is required every time I want to use it! Forza series is immense however so ill always have an xbox whether I like it or not! Also, download speed for upgrades seems to be limited on xbox as I have 50mb broadband and it still takes an age! Happy shopping!

Been on the edge of getting a ps4 for ages, but I'm yet at the point where i can justify dropping 300 notes when it could go on more powaahh on the gti (or maybe even essential house stuff).

Bought a cheapo ps3 in the summer to catch up on tlou, uncharted, hd ico and sotc (bit of nostalgia), as I've had a 360 for years... just doesn't seem to be enough content on the ps4 to tip me over the  edge yet.

If and when the last guardian lands, and if it fulfills the hype, I'm in.

But not yet.

Ps4 is actually more powerful than the Xbox one as indicated by games generally running better on PS4 than XB1.
This includes generally having higher native resolutions at the same (or higher) framerates.

(considering just cause is 1080p on ps4 and xbox1 is 900p and ps4 does better fps).

Prefer Xbox Live and the new dashboard is great. MS have allowed developers to now draw power reserves for Kinect to be used by the games where Kinect is it required.

Ps4 has slight better graphics but to me that's not the be all and end all, end of the day it's all about fun. Xbox beats the ps4 in all other departments other than the graphics and they ain't much difference in that either.

Uncharted is the only good exclusive. Xbox has more gears, halo, forza etc. I love gears  :happy2:

Same question for me.. Won xbox 360 auction, old console, but games are almost for free, etc fifa gta v. I am not the gamer, but sometimes, fifa, nba etc while  :drinking:, but seems ps4 has some great deals at the moment, like from very for 230.  Don't know what to do. In my case xbox 1 games are more expensive than ps4, so would choose ps4.

Not on Amazon. Pretty cheap.

I just picked up Arkham Knight and Phantom Pain for £50 from Tesco too.

I've owned both the xbox one and ps4 and personally prefer the xbox one. We even convinced our ps2/3/4 fan boy mate to get an xbox one and he now prefers it over the ps4.

PSN has improved massively since they started charging for it, but xbox live is still ahead in my eyes. If online gaming is a must then xbox one is for you. If you want to play on your own and you have a top of the range tv then the ps4 is probably more suited.

The quality of the graphics on both are very similar at the minute,  a couple of years down the line I fully expect the ps4 to look better since its a far more superior console, I guess it depends how much effort the developers but into cross platform games... but again you'll need a really good tv to see any benefits there may be.

I literally just bought a PS4 last night.

Got the star wars limited edition one from argos which includes battlefront and the Nathan drake collection for €399.

I don't want either games so I'll get a trade in for €97 from CEX meaning the PS4 limited edition darth vader cost me just €302.

Keep in mind, I've been looking for a good deal for a month now and finally got this one!

Anyway, I choose PS4 because I played my brothers one for about 2 months before making the decision. It's glitch free, super fast and frankly I'm just playstation biased. Never liked Xbox.

Why don't you want the Uncharted games?
Probably the best series on PS4. Irrespective of genre!

uncharted 4 will come out soon, helps for a reminder - if you dont want them i'll give you £15 posted for the uncharted collection.

Xbox One all day for me.

Better exclusives
Better controller
Better online experience (in terms of reliability of Xbox live)

PS4 may be a more powerful console, though not by much
But I don't think it makes any difference because the Xbox is still a powerful machine

Just to bring this back up  for multi console games such as cod, fifa etc it makes no different at all graphic wise if your playing on xbox one or ps4 because they only make the graphics as good as they can for the weakest console. To much time and money to make the most out of the better machine. Only exclusive games will ever be running closer to what the machine is capable of so if you mainly playing multi console games I wouldn't get to hung up on graphics.
