Title: Attaching number plates
Post by: GTIEagles on December 06, 2015, 08:49:40 am
I'm going to replace my number plates as mine are the original 10 year old ones and they are looking faded.

They are currently screwed on but I would like to have mine stuck on instead as it looks much cleaner and it saves drilling holes.

Few questions, is it legal to just have them stuck down? What's the best thing to stick them with?

Perfectly legal. Just use double sided tape, or 'number plate tape' on eBay. You need to make sure both sides are 100% clean other wise it'll eventually pull away.

^^^

I use those on one of my 2 front plates, other plate has double sided suction cups on it. One on car plus a spare. Both are fine on my smoothed grill.
