Title: RNS315 DAB Poor Signal
Post by: phillips on December 07, 2015, 08:35:43 pm
Evening!

I did a retro fit in my mates T5 Transporter in September all went fine, you wouldn't know it wasn't factory fit when I had finished but he messaged me tonight saying the DAB signal drops out ever 2-3mins? He said it is fine when stationary, anyone have any ideas?

Kit Fitted:

RNS315 DAB + Bluetooth
New Interior light with Mic Vent
Mic
GPS Aerial Under Headliner near interior lights
DAB Aerial Under Headliner near interior lights

I did code it in but when I left it, it still had a AUX error and his normal aerial is faulty because the he had the wrong rear screen fitted.

I fitted the exact same setup in my Jetta last year and not had any problems although I do find some of the DAB channels pants and drop out all the time!

Any help or suggestions would be great, Im going to do some investigating on Saturday.

Thanks Pashka, After investigating and getting more detail its more likely to be a dead spot they say its in the same spot around town.
