i currently have a 2009 mk6 Gti. should i Revo stage 1 it, or sell mk6 and get a mk7 Gti? Does the Mk7 with performance pack feel much quicker than a stock mk6?
-
If it were me, I'd go for the mk7 with or without PP - the standard mk7 sees quite a substantial hike in power with a stage 1 remap (around 270/280bhp I've heard) and the diff that comes as part of the performance pack is meant to be awesome too :happy2:

Mk7 defo

Cheers peeps, there is a mk7 being sold in a local garage (Devon) so will take it for a test drive.
-
You will see bigger gains on a mk7 compared to a mk6. Get it bought :happy2:

go for the mk7 R? I am in the same predicament. have a mk6 gti and either want to map it or move up hopefully! The r is a thing of beauty!
-
I test drove the Mk7 R today and yes your right, its a cracking piece of kit. I need to get my MK6 on here for sale now.
-
Then you'll get bored and want to remap the 7 R :signLOL:

I'd keep the MK6 if I was you, I drove both when looking and in the end went for a MK6. There isnt really to much of a difference betwen the two and I preferred the MK6 looks, plus a MK6 was 10k cheaper lol. Not to sure about tunning potential of the MK7 though. If money isnt a problem dont go for the Gti, go for a 7R instead or wait for the MK7 Clubsport :happy2:
