I also have a 2.0 GT FSI engine, which I believe it is supposed to be 150 bhp
But never heard of a "FSI" mode?, but its still early days for me as I haven't had the car for very long
I reckon/feel I have about 135-140 bhp, -ish, I also have a Heldex system so that takes a bit out of bhp
I need to do some research on how it get it up bit
Has anybody had any experience tuning these engines or can advise

I remember driving a 2.0 fsi Jetta when they were new and it never felt like it was 150bhp. Perhaps try putting some Shell Nitro into it and see if it feels any better and get it scanned for any fault codes.

Yes I have had the car scanned and nothing comes up, the next tank of fuel with be Shell nitro to see if any difference
Does anybody know how much the heldex system would take out of the bhp? ....after years smoking around in Quattro's I thought it was about 50 bhp?
Could anybody that knows more than me (and that's not hard :P) about heldex systems confirm?

I have the same car it is 150PS which is slightly less than 150BHP something like 147. Yes it is meant to be run on 98 Ron fuel as per info inside the fuel cap but will run on 95 ok just with very slight loss of power. It's the same engine as the GTi has minus the turbo. In my experience V Power is the best for performance and MPG but I also use Tesco Momentum and Esso Super and sometimes standard 95 when I'm skint!

Filled up with shell nitro last night and reset the clock, so lets see how my miles I do
Normally I get about 250 - 270ish per tank, after filling up I took it up the motorway for about ten miles and returned 34 average, which I was really impressed with (crusing at 90 Mph and resetting the comp once at speed)
This tank I will take it easy and try and see what I can get out of the tank, the next tank full I will use "spirted" driving after it has warmed up properly, to see what I get and if I get any better performance
Not expecting anything, but you never know
Can anybody tell me what a mk5 GTI will get as far as average/mileage on a tank full
Thanks
