Looks like I still have the factory Varta battery in the car. It's just over 8 years old and I'm wondering how long it'll carry on working for.
How long did yours last?

Mine went for about 10 years!

If it's survived the cold of this winter, then you'll be alright until next winter at least! Mine started struggling and was replaced at 7 years old

Cheers guys.
Yes it has survived the recent cold weather - think I'll chance it for another year.
10 years for some of you guys is excellent - I'll be buying a Varta one when I replace it.

10yrs. Was a bit slow if left for a few days. Got the Bosch S5007. Fitteed last weekend. Easy. Car cant start fast enough now :happy2:

5yrs for mine..

Well it was -1oC this morning, and the car started in an extremely 'lazy' fashion. Started first time though, but if its struggling at -1oC, then it'll have no chance if we have a cold snap.
Think I'll order the well reviewed Varta battery and fit and forget.

Yep, fit an E44 and your worries are over...for a while

Mine is the original (2006 car) and while the battery works fine in daily use, I'm finding if the car is left in winter for a couple of days the battery is sometimes flat.
This caught me out on Monday morning lol
