I've got my edition 30 booked in for Stage 1 at R-Tech next Tuesday. The car is completely stock at the moment, I can't afford any hardware at this time of year but thought the car deserves a bit of Merry Christmas too.
I was considering Revo but it's cheaper to do the 300-mile round trip to R-Tech. Will post some feedback once I've driven home!

On a stock car you should expect around 270bhp with an R-Tech remap on your Edition 30. Realistically you don't need to change any hardware with the stage 1 map. You will defo enjoy it and have lots of fun on your return journey home.
Just remember to top it up with a full tank of Shell V-Power before going to R-Tech. You'll notice the difference - plus Niki won't remap if it's got regular fuel in it.
Just out of curiosity, have you updated the PCV and DV to the latest versions - I had problems with both these post-map. I'd advise to get them done pre-map if you can. Although Niki will check these prior to the map anyway and can get these replaced for you there and then if need be. You just need to factor the cost of these in case they are needed though. Around £80 should do both. Plus R-Tech won't charge you any labour to check/replace these items.
Either way good luck and let us know how you get on.

Get that cat gutted!
-
my cusons ed30 made 300 bhp and that was totally stock with both cats
but agreed get both cats cut out before you go would defo help with the flow :happy2:
-
I don't think I've got the time or money to get the cats out before next week! I'll look into a new exhaust system middle of next year and do it then, plus it means more performance to look forward to in the near future
I've been running it on V-Power for a bit already but I've not updated the PCV and DV myself and I doubt the previous owner did. Cheers for the advice, I'll see if I can sort it before going up.

At the very least take along latest revision PCV and Rev G DV and niki will fit them for you probably.
290-300bhp on a stg1 ed30 all day.

^this.
You need to have a tank of V-Power or tesco 99RON momentum to get these figures.

Just got back from R-Tech - 238hp/244ft-lb before, 297hp/308ft-lb after
Niki said they wound it down slightly because the clutch was slipping at the very top end but still very pleased with the numbers and lots of fun on the drive home. The power is awesome when it comes in and it keeps on pulling all the way to the red line. They checked the DV while I was there and said it is fine although as it is the revision C I should look to change it in the near future which I will do.
A couple of things I forgot to ask them, don't know if anyone can help or I'll call up:
- Will it need doing again if I have to change the battery?
- I have 5 modes to choose from 1-5 with 5 being the most aggressive. Does anyone know how much difference there is between them and if any of them are anything like the stock map? Is it just boost and timing that change as you go up the modes?
Needless to say I'm very pleased and can see what the fuss is about. For anyone else wondering if it's worth the drive it was for me. Even with fuel for the 300-mile round trip it cost half what Revo + a RR run would have cost.
-
Not sure about the 5 modes but you're fine disconnecting the battery with R-Tech.
-
Sounds good - looking forward to my trip at the end of next month!
Are switchable maps included now? They used to be extra. I haven't discussed them with Niki yet.

They said on the phone it depends what ECU you've got. Some support switchable maps, some don't - if yours does then they'll set it up that way. I've only used mode 5 so far but I'll see what economy I can get on the others on a longer run soon.
-
Doubt economy would change, keep it in map 5 and drive steadily.
Glad you happy sir
