Title: My Tornado Red Edition 30 DSG
Post by: afzalmj on December 17, 2015, 12:35:18 pm
About time I started a project thread.

Purchased the car as a *very* late (last day of the year late!) 2007 standard low 45k miles Tornado Red 5dr DSG to satisfy my DSG itch on returning from the 'Ring! Full history, bla bla bla... probably the best example out there at the time of purchase. It didn't disappoint. But it didn't stay standard for long.... So far, current spec is:

It's very quick, 60-100 @ ~5.8s which is on par with some highly modified cars I've owned in the past. Not bad for just what is really just a Stage 1.

Not sure where to go from here, tempted to start getting Stage 2+ under way but I really like it as it is and I don't necessarily need the extra power... Might look at some 4-pots for the rear to complement the huge Brembos up front. Braking power is immense and other cars I drive just feel sub-standard!

I had it washed today and thought I'd take some photos, albeit with my rubbish phone camera:
