Does this engine have the HPFP like the TFSI or is it a specific of that engine?

Yes.
The cam follower on your engine should be checked every 10k or so. I had mine replaced and had a little bit of wear but it's piece of mind to get it done. Only fakes 30 min or so to check or change.

Unless you have the axx engine in which case it could take a little bwcause of the banjo bolt :fighting:

I'm pretty confident it's not an AXX engine as its not a turbo. Thanks for the replies, I'll get off my a**e and actually have a look!

It is possible to change the cam follower on a AXX engine without taking off the banjo bolt. My banjo bolt was completely cross threaded so loosened the fuel rail bolts and all the other bolts around the HPFP and slowly pulled it out and lifted it up. Do need to be careful but if the banjo bolt does cause alot of problems that is another option :smiley:
