Title: Can you check your rear hatch!

giving the old girl a quick once over and noticed a hole where i think there should be a bung.

If you open the hatch and look along the inside edge there are some painted over bungs, on the far right hand side i have just a hole, wondered if your cars are the same?

it may be like it for a drain i suppose but im thinking i have one missing.

I think mine has a hole too. Is the location that you're talking about basically just above the handle on the inside of the hatch that you use to pull the hatch down?

There seem to be 2 painted bungs, and the hole on the right hand side of the inside edge!

yep thats the one, must be for drain/condensation i suppose.

strange though as just checked my jetta and they are all sealed up!

The hole on the right hand side is for draining the water away :happy2:
it works really well with the mk6 rear camera that has a hole in the badge which has a tube  on the end where the water drains through that to the hole on the right of the boot :wink:
