Title: Headlamp nightmare
Post by: Madone on December 22, 2015, 02:00:35 pm
Hi all,

Try to change the side light bulb today, it was tough to get out, consequence of that is something holding the headlamp reflector in place has snapped. Now the reflector is just held by the part with makes it move up and down when you adjust the headlight height.

What are my options, can you buy just the reflector part, or is it complete headlamp only ?, how easy are they to remove, can they be taken apart ?.

Thanks

Those side light bulbs are a beech to pull out and yet another  :stupid: idea from vw.
You're most likely looking at a head light mate. unless you take it out and glue the offender back together if possible.I have a pair of lights that will be up for sale.

That's a nightmare, I was thinking I might need to buy a new unit.

What are you asking for yours ?, are you selling both together ?, I only managed to break the passenger side light, the other is ok   :signLOL:

Let me see what condition it's in before I give you a price as I don't want any come backs.

Sold my tt headlight to some Asian guy who broke the fixing mount and then complaining and when I wasn't in agreement after packing it correctly he opened a case on ebay broke the other 2 tabs and the internal xenon light holder and sent it back as scrap the baskeet. low life people out there I tell yah. no offence to you what so ever mate.
I've sold a pair of headlights two weeks back and they were mint bar a tiny weenie mark. theses have slight fuzzy marks but see what I can do for you.

Good stuff but pain in the bottom as you have to dismember the light lense if you need to glue internals  :surprised: good for snapped brackets though  :happy2:

Be careful with the stuff and do not breath it in when you've added the super glue to it. can't remember if it gets hot when both power and glue react???
