Hi guys Need to know which Bluetooth module plus if I need any wiring, I've got a 07 gti either the red display and a rns510.
There is the old Nokia kit with the stupid cradle in there which I hate but Carnt get it out with out leaving a hole in me dash, so the microphone is in and the unit under the seat.
I want to know if I need to get the whole kit or hopefully just change the unit and it will work with the radio.
Any advice on this or link to one forsale
Thanks Aled

If you fit a new module you'll need to update the loom as well. Your loom is Mono and the new modules are Stereo, so you need 2 new wires or a newer loom. I got a 7P6 module.
You can add a Polar BT/Battery if you want the new module to work with the red cluster.

I would also recommend a 7p6 Bluetooth unit. I have one for sale, just needs a loom which Eddie-NL can provide

I can supply whole kit, module, loom and mic. Would work with all phones, bt streaming etc. Works with rns510 and would work with red fis if you have polar fis/bt or white clocks. Just read that you have loom and mic, so can supply module itself. 3c8 is better than 7P6 because support both protocols, rsap and uhv, 7p6 is uhv only. He doesnt need newer loom, just add the wires for second speaker, doesn't worth changing the whole loom. Why to pay for the loom when you can add the wires for a few quids? In both cases you would need retrofit it. :signLOL: or if you are satisfied with mono sound for bt music, leave it. :happy2:

Audio streaming just sounding from the right isn't good enough for me. A Polar BT module is a different thing from a PolarFIS.
I use more an iPhone so the rSAP protocol isn't needed.

Skoda 729B module shows on both the red MFA+ display and RNS 510, i've used it in both my mk 5 gti from 06 and my wifes touran with only rns 510 :happy2:

Which 729? 1z0? Because 3c0 or 1k0 or similar doesnt show anything anywhere, because it is not premium. Even it shows, it's for old phones, it doesn't support iphone or similar.

you could always go aftermarket, say a parrot system, love mine

Found this and thought that it might be useful for someone looking to retrofit a newer BT module with stereo and audio streaming.
If you swap from a mono bluetooth like 9w3 to stereo 9w7, the streaming bluetooth will only come out the right speakers. If you want stereo streaming bluetooth you have to add 2 wires from the bluetooth to the stereo.
If you want to DIY harness, here are all the parts. You need 2 VW repair wires. Cut them in half, solder w/your own extension wire in the middle, and plug them into the existing connector. Connect pin 5 to pin 5 and pin 11 on the radio to pin 4 on the bluetooth. Here are detailed instructions:
12 pin connector (6×2 rows) – green- 3B7 035 447 B (3B7035447B) – radio end
Repair Wire 0.5mm – 000 979 009 (000979009)
Behind the RADIO, unplug the GREEN (GREEN GREEN GREEN) harness from the RADIO and take the "shell" off of the harness (you will see what I am talking about once you unplug the harness). The harness is numbered on both the shell and on the actual harness itself. Plug the wires in as described below:
pin 5 – telephone audio input signal left negative
pin 11 – Telephone audio input signal left, positive
54 pin connector (18×3 rows) – big blue plug - 4E0 972 144 (4E0972144) bluetooth module end
Repair Wire 0.5mm – 000 979 010E (000979010E)
Behind the BLUETOOTH MODULE unplug the GIANT BLUE(this thing is massive) harness from the 9W7 and de-shell that badboy (again, you will see what I am talking about). Like before, this one is numbered on both the shell and the harness itself. Plug the wires in as described below:
pin 4 - Audio LF Signal out +
pin 5 - Audio LF Signal Out –
