Title: Wheel bolt question
Post by: Vwgtiking on December 30, 2015, 07:13:12 pm
Looking to pick up some bbs ch reps tomorrow. Can I use the bolts from my gti that secure the oem monza alloys or is the head taper different sizes?

Generally, aftermarket rims use 60 degree taper bolts, rather than radius bolts that oem rims use.

Really you'd need to check the wheels when you pick them up, then buy bolts if you need to, it's not something to be guessing at!

Id be asking for the bolts to be provided with the wheels. Or perhaps a stud conversion  :happy2: :happy2:

He said he used oem Audi bolts and believes the rims are radius and he'll double check tomorrow.

Now am even more confused. Apparently they are reps and they are 8j all round and the holes are radial and not tapered bolts!!

And the centre caps are genuine Audi ones. Also how do I no what size i need to replace them with VW ones. Is it measured from clip to clip width or overal width?
