Title: Breathing mods
Post by: MarkyN on December 31, 2015, 03:38:42 pm
I have read that the standard breather systems on the GTi's are not the best and when going into tuning the engine up I have been led to believe that changing it to the breather system of the R line (I Think) is a good upgrade and will help the engine more

Has anyone heard of this? Or has anyone done it?

I have noticed blanking plates by the like of Forge etc but they need a oil catch tank fitting to I believe?

The breather system OEM number I have been given is
Breather System R - 06F129101R

PCV delete from R-Tech is the only true full PCV delete that works.

The R is just the latest revision of the original PCV valve, its more reliable than the older original variation. Only needs doing if your PCV is faulty or worth doing as preventative maintenance.

Stay away from PCV deletes though unless you go for thr RTech kit
