Hi guys,
As the title suggests my rear fog light isn't working. I'm not getting any lights on the dash but when I turn the fog lights on the rear one doesn't work.
Any suggestions?? I've checked fuse and bulb already.
Thanks

Have you pulled the switch towards you 2 clicks? First click only switches on front ones, second click switches rear one on?
-
Haha yeah I've done that

Tried another bulb?.

That's my next option but I thought it would have come up on the dash :/

Yes it should come up on the dash as faulty but worth trying the bulb just in case.
-
Also check the wires between the body and tailgate to see if they have not broken. Would prob throw up a bulb out warning but worth a look just incase

Cheers for all the help guys I'll check tomorrow

Strange request but could someone turn there fog lights on, fronts and rear, and send me a pic of there light switch so i can see what colours the symbols go.
Thanks
-
Should be green for front and orange for rear buddy
-
ok cheers mate. the rear symbol (orange) isn't lighting up on my lighting switch so i am wondering if its the switch
-
It could possibly be a switch they are easy to get out if you know somebody with a mk5/6 who would let you borrow their switch to check the fault
-
im gonna get some chrome switches soon so ill check it then. in the mean time ill bridge the wires with a paperclip or something to pretend I've switched it on and see if it illuminates. will eliminate the switch atleast
-
so I've done some searching and I've found that if i remove the headlight switch and set it to rear fog on and test for resistance between pins 7&8 it should give me a reading, if its open circuit or a super high resistance then its a faulty switch.
Can anyone double check and confirm what i have written is true?
thanks
