Thought id post my progress thread up that I have on other sites as ive been reading the forums for a while & you seem to have alot more meets than the other forums & alot more topics to read. I am from West Yorkshire not far from Leeds so if any meets are happening let me know & ill be there.
Well the R32 went as I had nothing but problems with it from owning it brand new, VW couldnt fix it & refunded me all my money. Ordered a brand new S3 a while back & got it two weeks ago & loving every minute. As I didnt get to mod the R32 because of all the problems got alot more money to spend on this one which should all be happening shortly to get ready for Modball next year.
Specs
2009 59 Audi S3
Ibis White
Bose Sound System
Bluetooth & Phone Prep
Rear parking sensors
Cd Changer
I-Pod
Flat Bottom Steering Wheel
Tints
Light & Rain Pack
Rest of stuff is standard so wont bother going into detail with that crap. Ive already ordered Evoms Intake & Forge DV which I have fitted the intake & the DV will be fitted next week (The sound of these two together is mint will have to get vids) Then the car is booked in for revo on 21st of December & will push out over 320bhp.
Any way **** pics but here it goes

Update 3/12 - Evoms Intake
Got my Evoms Intake & Forge DV Monday so went round to my mates Thurs to get them fitted, Took us 2hours to fit the intake went for summert to eat came back to fit the DV & he dint have the bloody tools to take it off  so goin back round next week.
The sound of the intake is mint, sounds like darth vader under the bonnet, the turbo whistle is alot louder can hear me coming from miles away  then if you come off the gas quick can hear the standard DV chatter through the whole car. It will sound better once the forge dv is on & alot louder n will hold boost better.
Gains are 7-10 bhp & 8-12 ft/lb with just the intake alone, Cant wait for the Revo map on the 21st as it will feel like a totally different car!!
Here is before & after pics, Thinking about a carbon engine cover now tho

Update 21/12 - Revo Remap & Forge DV
Had the car booked in Monday for Revo Stage 1 Map & Forge DV fitting, was there pretty much all the day talking to the guys at Prosport whilst the stuff was getting done. After several hours I went for a test drive & fook me its like a different car , Feels like there is two engines & no extra weight. I had the Evoms intake fitted a while back & the noise it makes alone is nice with the standard DV chattering slightly but with the Forge fitted its stupid  can hear it from far away & people **** thereselves while wondering what the hell it is .
Really pleased with the outcome & am going back to Prosport in two weeks with a few mates in the cars to see what were all putting out, Bit gutted my mate with one of the other S3's has just got stage 2+ which I went down to AMD with him on Weds to get done & its putting out 370bhp  which makes mine feel slow after driving them both
Here a few pics of the install with the Forge DV fitted, Ill get some vids up when the weather is better to give you an idea how loud the DV & turbo is spooling up when giving it some on a private road of course ;)

Next mods is some gold heat tape to wrap the whole intake tube & a Neuspeed carbon fibre engine cover. After them ill keep the car like that for a while get the Speedline Turinis then after Modball Stage 2+ (370bhp ish) :doublethumbs:

Update 25/12 - Richbrook Tax Disc Holder
As above one of the little presents off the gf for christmas am afraid no performance gains with this one. I think it looks good inside with all the rest of the other brush ali stuff & the mirrors on the outside of the car.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fv493%2Fphilipturner14%2FPhoto0860.jpg&hash=8404029886f7a1cf9fa46f4fa560ab988f058632)
Next up some heat tape over the intake pipe & heatsheild to help with temps in the bay which I will be getting in gold as it is the best at reflecting heat as below

Dont seem to be any problems with the guys on Audi Sport with none of them, Plus it must be doing well for my mates stage2+ to pull 370bhp same as Decked who is running the same intake

We have a S2+ S3 too.. Running Evoms, its perfect, super smooth.. For sure, you could probably make a touch more power with a Forge Twintake but its certainly not any type of problem running the Evoms..
-
Where you from mate im in Leeds? Would be good to see how both cars compare given the same intake but different maps.
-

Never had a problem with the EVOM's here.... Running stage2+ If you do have issues you can just adjust the Air/Fuel mixture anyway.

Hey Phil! Nice S3! Was looking at one after my GTI but the S3 wasnt available in 5 doors back then. For this reason ended with a MK5 .:R32!
Was it a MK4 or MK5 you had? How would you compare them?? :)

Is was a mk5 on a 58 reg, think ive seen you on the R32 forum when I was on. They are totally different, S3 handles loads better as no big engine making it understeer into the curb, R32 sounds better but the S3 does sound good with some mods but deffo need a non res miltek after I keep driving my mates 370bhp S3, suprizingly the R32 was better on fuel even before I modded mine.
Two totally different ways of delivering power R32 was smooth all the way through & never felt fast until you looked at the clock, S3 felt fast standard & even with just a remap leaves most cars totally & I just love it. I am getting abit addicted to power tho so TB non rest miltek is next to make it stage 2, then fuel pump some time after for stage 2+. Then next year big turbo time :jumping:

lovely car mate

Update 29/01 - Revo Select Plus Switch
Well I got the car mapped before christmas but been waiting a while for Prosport to sort out my switch with Revo. I decided to get the select plus switch as I will be going stage 2+ on the car which I will be needed the switch to mess about with the settings like boost, timing, fuel etc. My mate has bought VAGCOM so will be using that too to log the car & to mess around with some settings on the car. Am gona order some gold heatape next for the intake & the heatshield to keep temps down so another update will follow soon.
Here is abit more info from Revo site
The 'select plus' features variable boost, timing and fuel adjustment allowing the user to set the car up to run efficiently with any fuel quality and in varying conditions. The 'select plus' consists of a diagnostic port interface, USB cable and new PC based software. Boost, timing and fuel adjustments can be uploaded directly to the ECU using the software communication mode. The 'select plus' not only features stock and performance modes like the 'select' version, but also includes an additional 3 "user based" modes. These modes allow the user to custom configure their performance settings and upload them to the 'select plus'. Changes to ECU settings can then be made using just the 'select plus'. These saved settings can be changed and re-saved using the software as your mechanical upgrades or environmental conditions permit. Combined with the ability to revert to stock programming, and our unique anti-theft mode, the 'select plus' is unmatched in its ability to provide the highest levels of control and flexibility.

Update 06/03 - Rolling Road Day
Well finally got round to getting the car on the dyno which I ended up going to with my mates that both have white S3's lol. All three went on the dyno & came out with good figures, the 56 reg came out at 320bhp with Revo stage one, 58reg came out at 360+ with Revo stage 2+, Fuel Pump & Turbo Back Miltek which after two other rr he has had makes them all quite acurate & mine with Revo stage 1, Evoms Intake & Forge Dv Came out 347, 350 & 352bhp over three runs. The dyno has been quite accurate with cars in that past & on the day but would still like to get it on another one soon before any further engine mods. It was quite a good day & got to see some of the other cars below too which he owns including a brand new wrx sti & 600bhp P1.
Dont know what rims for the car now as my mate when & took my idea & bought speedline turinis before me grr. Will be looking around for some lightweight 18's & will have to do some photoshops

Update 08/05 - Gold Heat Tape For Evoms Intake
Well its been a bit quite on the car for a while as ive been busy, finally got round to getting the gold heat tape & fitting it to the evoms intake. It does look alot better than in the pics and the intake is now cool to touch after a decent drive around which should help with cooler air flowing into the car.
Ive also got the car booked in for an uprated sachs performance clutch & new DMF in two weeks time which will help with launch on drag strips & track days. I will also be able to turn the boost up on the Revo map which should be good :)
Still deciding what else to get done to the car while its getting the clutch done as ive been thinking about uprated fuel pump & a miltek turbo back which would increase power even more  but gotta make my mind up soon as Modball is only 4ish weeks away & will be 3000miles around europe in 7 days
Anyway here is a couple of pics of the heat wrap sorry the pics are **** there off the iphone.

Thanks ive always wanted to keep progress of my cars but always forget till this one. Ye there will be loads of pics & vids as my mate has bought a HD cam with waterproof sidemount etc to stick anywhere on the car. Ye was looking at a few cars after previous MK5 Golf R32, Lotus Exige S, Vauxhall Vx220 & Corsa 1.8 SRI. It was going well till the clutch started to slip after 6k constently for 1 week then stopped when I showed Audi  didnt wana take the risk on Modball & will be modding the car further so just got the sachs clutch in as it will be needed anyway.
Awesome!
Thanks but its far from it

Update 19/05 - Sachs Performance Clutch
Well aint many pics as I didnt get Statllers to take any as I forgot so only got one of the box it came in lol. So I have had fitted a uprated sachs performance clutch which will last no matter what power am running when it comes to big turbo time!. The pedal feel is totally different as its quite heavy but has loosend up abit now with a few miles on it. The biting point is real low so launchs and gear changes are very quick & super smooth I have noticed alot of diffrence in how the car drives now it should really come like this from the factory. It goes back to Statllers next week for uprated BSH engine mounts & to finally get it lowered :) Then in two weeks it will be getting all the sponsorship stickers put on for Modball!! I cant wait!!!
Here is the only pic I have  will get a pic of the clutch when I go back next week. Thought id show a few pics from other day with my mate too.

Update 28/05 - Autotech Fuel Pump, BSH Engine Mounts, H & R Springs & Modball 2010!!
Well as above next week is going to be a busy week & rush to get all done in time for Modball the week after!! dont believe how soon its come & cant wait to drive 3000 miles round europe on some amazing roads, test the car up against some serious power cars & party at every stop London, Calais, Le Mans, San Sebastian, Madrid, Barcelona, Monaco, Geneva, Calais then London again.
So first thing Tues the car goes to Audi for an oil change, Then Thurs its off to Stattlers to get my H & R springs fitted, BSH engine mounts & Autotech fuel pump. Ive decided on springs for now as they seem to do the job in my mates S3 but coilovers will come in the future once everything else on the car is done, The BSH engine mounts keep the engine totally planted with no movement what so ever which dont have go through the car & sounds like its f*cked  but when planting it sounds like a different engine has been dropped in & will help with launchin at drag days & finally the Autotech fuel pump which is needed for stage 2 + & will mean I only need a turbo back Miltek & new Revo map to finish off. It will help alot giving more fuel to the engine which the standard pump can struggle to give the requested fuel to keep the boost gains of 30ft/lbs + are also gained just from the pump so with this fitted & my uprated clutch I got done I should be able to mess about with the boost & fuel settings on my revo select switch to make the car abit more aggresive.
So here are a few pics of things to come, may get another update in next week if I get chance before Modball

Much prefer the silver front on the white!
If an evoms and DV with revo 1 gets 350 i might get those mods first!

Great build thread matey...
Thats a good increase just with them mods.
Had mine on rollers and standard it was 280bhp & 283lbs/ft

Its the full uprated sachs clutch kit with an Audi DMF. Didnt get the BSH mounts in the end just yet but my mate has them fitted to his & the noise from the engine is mint, seems to feel better when planting it but the noises coming from the engine could p*ss people off as you can hear everything lol
More pics of the pre-facelift with the black wheels
That clutch is a beast! Any harder on the clutch pedal as one thing i noticed was how easy it was to use!
Ill get some pics posted up later, its running Rotiform rims & he was the first in the UK to have black ones no matter what anyone says :)
Ye its abit harder but not much, can get abit annoying in traffic but I love it as it feels more solid
This is looking very smart!
Thanks

Ye I know facelifts seem to do well & my mates stage 2+ pulled the same as it has on other rollers so mine must be quite accurate but would want to get another one done now I have the fuel pump.
You selling yours now? seen you on vagoc

Cheers Luke yours looks mint, aint seen you in a while since you had the mini. Youll know who I am if you saw my face btw lol

Well been busy since Modball ended but thought id get round to doing the update in here. To sum Modball up in one word **** comes to mind if you read anything in Mikes thread we didn’t even go to the first stop that was advertised which meant we were going to go to miss Le mans qualifying which is one of the stops I was looking forward to then to! Then to help that even more the first drive was 10 hours because we were missing this stop, because each stop was so far away from each other & we wasn’t staying in a hotel at each stop so had to be at the next check point we had to miss Monte Carlo which is another I was looking forward to, We then got told that at each stop we weren’t even staying in a hotel & tbh the ones that we did stay in were ibis hotels which are ok but everyone got the impression we were staying in some hotels alot better than them, All the parking at the hotels was supposed to be free which it wasn’t, we dint even get vip into the night clubs that we were supposed to, some hotels were right near the city centres which were fine but other people were staying 30mins away & had to pay alot to get there.
Everyone felt the same & was pretty pissed off with the guy that runs it so much people stood around him as was going knock the **** out of him. The whole trip was a piss take so much they trashed his car with flower, eggs & god knows what ever else was on it lol, the irish trashed the hotel rooms with toilet paper & the whole floor with a fire extinguisher lol & they also phoned the Spanish police on the organiser to say he was carrying drugs which he then got held at gunpoint lol. I think I was more pissed off due to the fact I thought this would be full of drivers roads & some well planned out routes but it was all boring motorway driving except the going the tunnels in the mountains. I expected it to be like the pistonhead runs full of amazing roads like something you see on Topgear.
There were a lot of good times but ones that we brought on ourselves, racing and beating an M3. Bentley, Mk2 Focus RS, Evo 9 FQ 360 to name a few, going on night out in Madrid, driving through about 20-30 tunnels & hearing the cars, getting pissed at every stop, doing 180mph (On Autobahn) easily getting there & still pulling quickly. My mates S3 broke down on the way back as the intercooler pipe blow off lol so his car cut out on motorway & he got just across to the services before it stopped we called the breakdown out who couldnt speak a word of english & was gona tow us back 40mins where we came from but luckly the irish modballers pulled up with a full tool kit in the M3 & fixed my mates car.
So never again & what a waste of money. Think next time ill be going to one of the pistonhead ones. I aint done nothing to the car since then but its going in this month for the front windows tinting & new private plate will be going on. Also in talks with a company with some carbon fibre one offs for the car so ill keep you updated on that too.
Here is a few pics from the trip, will try & find some more.

Ye I saw your thread & told me mates about it. Id like to go to all the factories like that where did you get all the addresses for them from? & do you have a route you took?
-
easy just go to company websites and all the info is on them :happy2: nice and easy :drinking:. We spent a week in the french alps near chamonix just down the road from mont blanc at my mates house and did lots of other bits in France then did Italy and Monaco and Geneva and Germany  and the ring :driver: but will try get some routes by pm to you in the next few days :happy2:

Right well needed some new tyres as two were pretty much gone so thought I might aswell get all for put up a few threads of the vag forums & the Michelin PS3 is what every goes for, So thanks Costco you came in handy & got me 4 of these dirt cheap & nitrogen filled like the Nissan GTR's seems to handle pretty good on the tyres from what I have had a go with so far.
Then today this massive heavy box turned up with my coilovers they look mint which is ashame you wont get to see them. They are stainless steel, hight adjustable & 10 point rebound adjustable oh and if anything goes wrong with them they have a life time warrenty & should do for the money they cost!.
The coilovers will be fitted sometime this week or next along with my Turbo back non resonated Miltek exhaust which turned up today but dont have pictures as its at the tuning shop.
Here is a few pics for now sorry for a few pics they are off the iphone

Well got the car back thursday night from the tuning company I use which they fitted the turbo back non resonated Miltek exhaust & Bilstein coilovers. As soon as I drove it away I could notice that the exhaust has been well over due with all the mods I am running as it just felt so much more responsive even with still running Revo stage 1 which doesnt account for the intake, fuel pump & miltek which I will get onto. I decided to go for the non resonated centre section due to the noise sounding like nothing I have never heard which the best way to descibe is like a fighter jet & boost thrushing out noise My mates wanted to hear it the other day while on the outside & they said even when they cant see me any more they can hear it like its stood next to them Think ill have to get some vids sometime.
While I was there I also got my coilovers fitted which they have put on a good rebound setting for road use as it just feels like standard but if I wish to go for a decent drive can just sit under the car & adjust the knob in minutes. The hight they have set it at I am not happy with at the front but he said it will settle over the next few weeks & if I aint happy with the hight he will adjust it for me because I cba. After a good drive today along with the new tyres it holds the road like a go kart really impressed with them which slightly justifys the price.
So today I booked the car in at Revo because I now had all the mods to go straight to stage 2+ (360-380bhp with over 400 tq) but the tuner I use to fit the parts aint a revo dealer so had to make the long trip down. After them uploading the file to the car they did some on the road logging for me to see what was the best settings I could use as you get a switch that you can play about with the boost, timing & fuel on the laptop.
Then it was time to drive the car.....
Jesus this is quick haha mine & my mates neck were thrown so far back into the seat we couldnt even lift it back up, the boost is so violant & holds it all the way to the redline you look at the clock and your going silly speeds after only going through 3 gears had to slow down on my private road came off one bend foot to floor sent all power to back & ended up with a little drift lol.
To say am happy is abit of an understatement cant wait for some more mods. Next month Uprated BSH engine mounts that I didnt get before, ARB's & BSH PCV Mod. Then onto the lightweight wheels after.
I will get some pictures up tomorrow but for now the current spec is as below.
Revo Stage 2+
Autotech Fuel Pump
Evoms Intake With Gold Heat Tape
Sachs Uprated Clutch & Pressure Plate
Forge DV
Bilstein PSS10 Coilovers
Miltek Turbo Back Non Resonated Exhaust
Michelin PS3 Tyres

Well sort of update as I finally got the uprated engine mounts off my mates old S3 that he split a while back to buy a Range Rover Sport, Seems a few bolts are missed but can easy source them. I just need to book the car in at the tuners to get these fitted asap as the power is twisting the exhaust slightly at the mo cause the engine moves too much Also with these fitted I should be able to do some serious launchin & with the power easy hit 0-60 in 4 seconds.
So here are a few pics of the engine mounts, plus the ride hight I have the coils set to which the handling is spot on so wont be going lower. Also thrown two pics of the exhaust whilst I saw the underneath of it a while back.

Well aint updated this for a while but before christmas finally got the engine & gearbox mount fitted to the car which it has needed for a while as the power was pulling my exhaust apart in the middle lol. The car feels much more planted & goes through gears alot smoother & quicker. I have also tried a few 0-60s & it doesnt half go from stand still & feels quicker that the exige did to 60 so must be pulling low 4s. The noise when givin it some sounds like a totally different engine like a race car but on idle & general driving it sounds ruff lol like the engine is fooked but your going to get that putting stiff engine mounts on the car vibrating the whole thing.
So obviously no pics of the above but got one pic below of the pcv mod which ill copy & paste what it is & does
The kit is a three piece design, a PCV inlet port, a guidance block, and a manifold block off plug. Each component has been designed to accomplish the goals for the Bulletproof product line, rock solid performance, easy to maintain, and aesthetic enhancement of the respective part of the car.
PCV systems typically have two ports where crankcase pressure can be ventilated. One vents the crank case itself and will be near the bottom of the engine, typically off of the oil cooler housing, the other will vent the top of the motor and will most commonly be found on the valve cover. On OBD II compliant vehicles vented gasses are then routed to a port on the intake of the vehicle typically pre turbo charger on forced induction engines. The intake is used as air is always being pulled through it and as such provides the environment for a slightly lower than atmospheric pressure area.
2.0T BPY motor has all of these traits. The primary difference between the 2.0T and many other turbo vehicles is that the 2.0T has a port directly tied to the intake manifold and while in vacuum vents to this port on the intake manifold. When boost is built the factory setup relies on a check valve in the front PCV to stop boost pressure from going through the intake manifold port and pushing back into the crank case. Instead pressure is directed from the crankcase to a port on the rear of the valve cover commonly referred to as the rear PCV. As has clearly been seen on most modified and even factory stock cars, the check valve whose job it is to stop boost pressure from re-entering the crank case just isn’t cutting it! When the check valve fails pressure is passed through the system that is supposed to be venting it and back into the crank case. Symptoms of this are a noticeable loss in performance, a decrease in gas mileage, rough idle, and oil being blown out of the oil cap.
Manufactured in the US out of billet aluminum the new Bulletproof PCV Revamp hits every identified problem and does so while enhancing the look of the engine bay. By utilizing existing factory ports we are able to properly vent pressure from the crank case, without affecting emissions compliance, and never having boost act on the system. This system eliminates intake manifold interaction and provides a new path for crank case pressure that utilizes the freest flowing ports available to ensure complete ventilation.
So here is one pic, plus a vid from before christmas on a private road
Next up lightweight wheels on the 21st when I am going down to spec them up & get them made

Well after going down to Compomotive over 3 weeks ago for the measure up they finally turned up Friday So glad I went for 9's all round as they look mint with the little dish & as far as I know no one else has done this on a 8P S3 & I have not seen these wheels fitted eithier
So I have taken the tyres off my standard rims as they are really good tyres but because they were off an 7.5' wide there is a little stretch  I do like it tho but it prob needs it running 9's on the front. The next thing is to sort out the height now a little but the problem is am maxed out on the front but got quarter of thread on the back!! So going to have to find a way to sort the front.
Well here they are I love them & glad I went for this colour too but think it needs a black grill now to go with the agressive wheels.
Oh btw I have no centre caps on at the mo as the ones that came where chrome cups & I think they look awful & too old skool, so they are sending me out some flat caps

Thanks guys, black grill & some carbon bits next
-
Those wheels give the car a proper Msport look.....a very nice choice......looks very cool.
You've built a nice package.
What brakes are you running/planning?
Bet it would give the V8 M3 a run for it's money!
-
nice!! :happy2:

Update 24/06 - Speedline Turinis & Yoko Pradas
So after having the idea originally to get speedline turinis but then my mate bought them for his S3 but in silver I now have them but he also has a C63 now so we wont have the same wheels  Good points the wheels weight even less & because they are 8" wide I can fit a number of different size track tyres to them which was the aim originally for the comps.
Am really happy with the yoko pradas even though I have heard they aint that good in the wet  but in the dry which ive tested so far they are mint & I love the thread pattern.
So here are the pics of the first update for this week, abit pissed off the wheels have the white writing round them as I did say to Rimstyle id prefer it without & they said it didnt come with it as the picture they have on their site but ah well. Next update this Sunday :)
Sorry for the **** pics of the iphone.

Update 26/06 - Black Optics Grill & Fogs
Well orderded the grill from Audi over 4 weeks ago with the fog grills to match & what a piss take. The grill came 3 days after ordering it so I opened it up at work & it was marked to f*ck and I wasnt suprised as it was packed so sh*t but the fog grills were fine so fitted them straight away. So rung Audi back & told them it was marked & to package it properly which they told me to send it back. While I was sending this back they ordered another one to themselfs from Audi UK which again came marked, so they ordered another one which came marked then they rung Audi Uk to them so they looked at all the grills in the warehouse which were all marked! so told me that all the batch were f*cked & had to order me one from Germany so after another two weeks it finally came this week & it was packed up properly & I got it fitted today. I have been wanting a black grill since I got darker rims as it needed to look more aggresive to match the wheels so just think I need black door mirrors now.
Anyway heres some **** pics again off the iphone

Aint been on here for a while, from my other thread http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,34227.0.html I had to buy another sachs clutch in the end as they said the clutch doesnt really have warrenty on lol, I have also bought some H & R anti roll bars which need fitting & some plain A3 door mirrors which I am going to spray gloss black to match the grill. After those I have been looking at some pilot super sport tyres & some big brakes to get the rest finished before the bigger turbo upgrade

Update 25/02 - Piano Black Door Mirrors, H & R Arbs, Oil & Filter Change
Well I aint been on here for ages and havent really done anything till now. Ive always wanted some uprated anti roll bars but at £400 new thought they were a rip off but my mate has stripped his big turbo s3 and all his bits and gave me the h & r arb's at a bargin price. Id already recent adjusted the rebound settings on on the coilovers from a softer 3 setting to a 6 all round which improved the car alot but after today fitting the arbs and putting them on the stiffest setting the car is stupid and goes round corners even better! I will also be buying uprated bushes and better semi slick tyres soon so cant imagine what it will be like then.
I have also had my other set of door mirrors sprayed piano black to match the grill which I think needed doing to match the agressive colour wheels and grill and I love it!
The car also went to my tuner today for an oil & filter change and also the cam follower replacing to keep things fresh. Also bought some solid metal shifter bushes and an rs4 fuel pressure regulator valve but he didnt have time to fit them today so ill be going back next weekend. The shifter bushes will tighten up the throw of the gearstick and help with quicker changes and the rs4 fuel valve will help feed more fuel to the car so I can up the settings more on the revo map to run more power. I cant wait to go back next week to as hes finished building his 997 turbo with uprated headers, cams, intercoolers, exhaust and remap which is pushing over 650bhp at mo so I get to go out in that before he goes to the 30-130 event.
Anywhere heres some pics, alot more mods coming this year plus alot more shows to go to including Worthersee!!!

Update 3/03 - 42 Draft Designs Shifter Bushes, RS4 Fuel Pressure Valve & New Miltek
Well I went back to get the rest of the parts done at my tuner which was 42 draft design shifter bushes, RS4 fuel pressure regulator valve & a new Miltek back box as my old one started to crack which Miltek replace FOC as it has lifetime warrenty.
So firstly onto the 42 draft design shifter bushes here is what it says about them
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fv493%2Fphilipturner14%2Fmk5_6s_bsh16.jpg&hash=51c9181c58194c5b26f853f67e8b91b50ec59b7d)
"Eliminate sloppy shifts forever!
Our CNC machined shifter cable bushings tighten up the movement of your shifter cables, literally connecting your hand to the gears. In a performance situation, the factory rubber bushings flex causing a delay in the engagement in the gears. Our bushings eliminate this delay and provide a precision shift free of slop or hesitation.
Our shifter cable bushings are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and fit precisely within the factory endlink. Each bushing is sleeved with an oil-impregnated bronze bearing. This bearing provides constant lubrication and a lifetime of use without wear.
Specifically machined for a variety of fitments, our shifter cable bushings provide instant results. Installation is a simple task and requires only slight modification to the side/side endlink. If you're looking to feel your shifts, these bushings are the answer"
Here are pictures of them fitted to the car

I can honestly say its one of the best mods ive done, The gearbox throw feels alot sportier & more solid without it being hard to put in gear. I dont know if I am just thinking it but it also feels alot quicker through the gears but was worth the £40 they cost just for the feel.
Next up the Audi RS4 or R8 fuel pressure valve only really needed for Revo stage 2+ cars or big turbo. The RS4 fuel return valve replaces the OEM one. The OEM one opens a return valve at 130bar and allows pressure to drop to as low as 127bar before building pressure back up again. On the RS4 valve the pressure is designed to go to 136 bar and then the return valve opens, but closes again at 130bar. All depending on requested rail pressure.
REVO Stage 2+ requests 130bar and then higher in the rev range 132.5bar around the mythical 5krpm mark.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fv493%2Fphilipturner14%2F20ij1ft.jpg&hash=6c909236e8c82dde9416caae0535f53aadd56644)
I can say I am glad it wasnt me who was fitting it as it was a ball ache to get to! After it was fitted my tuner plugged the car into Vagcom to see if things were ok then we did some logging on different Revo settings with changes to the boost, timing & fuel to see what settings I could run, Over the last few weeks I can honestly say the car feels alot better & pulls harder. I know with Revo stage 2+ at really high revs there is a very slight hesitation but with the valve fitted it has gone! Not bad for a £20 OEM part its just the labour to fit the thing.
While I was there I have also been discussing bigger brakes for the car as I have now warped two sets of standard disks which arnt upto the job & with the big turbo eventually going to happen it will need better brakes anyway, Lucky for me my tuner had a track rocco off one of the forums in for some work so I tried my wheel on to see what clearance where like over the 8 pots & they fit! Been talking to the main brake guy over the forums Dave B regarding the same set up which aint far off £3000 but thats with brand new 8 pots, floating disks with any design, bells, braided lines & new master cylinder so will be looking to get these over the next few months after a few other bits or some Ap Racing 6pots with all the same as above.

To say I went back to Statllers for things doing to my car I was looking more forward to going out in Steves car as he has finally managed to finish it after his busy weekends still working on cars like mine haha.
Its a 997 turbo with uprated headers, intercoolers, wastegates, mainifolds & exhaust & remap with about 650bhp on the low boost setting I went out in. Now to say this thing is 4wd is silly the sheer amount of power & how it went sideways in the dry was daft! leaving 11s on the road haha. He first explained how quite the exhaust was while we was warming the car up but said wait until you hear it on full chat & jesus this thing was loud & the way it went from 30 to high figures was in seconds that the speedo didnt look real!!

Can't decide which I like better Phil, the splits or the Trinnys'
Looking superb either way. If I thought my boxed up SLT's from the GTI would suit my MY10 A3 BE, they'd be on in a flash :chicken:
Hoping to drop mine roughly as low as yours sits now if I don't catch the splitter underside on the drive way.
I bet the 997T is unreal to drive

Update 29/06 - Carbon Splitter & Diffuser & Wheel Refurb
Well the update has been along time coming mainly due to the time its taken to have the carbon bits made both of which are 1 of only two in the world & that company aint going to make any more. Its been a 14 week lead time waiting for them but I am so happy with the outcome & finish the car off being darker than the standard silver parts that were on the car from new. I also decided to have the wheels refurbed as when I bought them new I asked if it had the white writing round the wheel which I didnt like & they told me it didnt have it like the picture on their site but they turned up with it! Anyway I wanted it gone & the only way was to get all four wheels done & am glad I did.

Turinis have been sold now, Need 19's for daily but I was still not happy getting rid of them
Ive still have over 40mm of thread left on the coils too. If your wanting to go low you'll need to get some custom H & R's like I did as I wanted it really low for shows & raised for daily.
The porsche is stupid Steve took me out again a few weeks ago & with the Vbox attached we managed best 0-100 in 5.8 secs & 0-60 3.2 hahahahaha  I want one
-
Just needs the AKS shifter bracket bushes now
Ttrs calipers with 362mm floating discs can be done for around the 2k mark. Just hard to find the caliper second hand. No real need for the master upgrade then. Pads are half the price too.

Update 15/09 - Still Static Custom H & R Race Coilovers, Topmounts, Droplinks & BBS
Well its been a very busy & expensive month! I always said when the car had alot of the stuff done I wanted to it I would buy some nice show wheels so after the hunt for something special for the last few months & searching the internet I found them on Edition 38. They are very rare BBS E28 Motorsport Magnesium 3 piece forged wheels with face mounted centres & polished dishes. The specs are 18 x 9 all around & have a 215/40 Falken stretched on them and around at ET48. The wheels are BBS gold & they weigh nothing! Even lighter than my Speedline Turinis!! So now I finally found the wheels the wallet took a massive dint out of it but I got 5 wheels but 4 with brand new tyres & tbh even if I came to sell the wheels I wouldnt loose no money on them. So now I had the wheels it was time for me & Vick (Edition 38 crew member) to trial fit them. The back wheel went on fine with no issues but the front touched the strut! So we knew I needed to run spacers on the front but because the car was still high on the lowest setting on the Bilsteins for shows we couldnt buy spacers until I bought new coilovers!
I loved the Bilstein coilovers but I needed more adjustabilty & tbh they didnt go low enough for the road & I wanted the option to go lower for shows. After buying my new show wheels from Vick from Edition 38 he put me in touch with Si Sweetland who owns a company called Still Static who make custom H & R coilovers through a person in Germany who works for H & R. There were 3 options 110mm kit, 140mm kit & the race kit. So I decided to go for the race kit which was a 140mm drop, adjustable dampers then also had the chance to get them with adjustable top mounts & adjustable drop links. So after becoming good friends with Vick who I bought my wheels off Si sorted me out a good price. The Edition 38 show was coming up & I wanted the car ready but with a week to make the suspension which couldnt happen as the German guys where coming across to Edition 38 show & trying to get the car booked in to get it set up properly just wasnt going to happen I still went to the show & met up with Si who runs the UK Still Static company & also the Germans who make the suspension from H & R. We talked alot & went through everything so I got everything I wanted & they said they was looking forward to seeing an S3 as no one tunes them in europe with alot of power then have the looks to match. So the Germans went back Tues & the kit was with Si in the UK Wednesday! but I couldnt get the kit fitted until the day before Players show in Essex which I was going to! Which was going to make things tight as we didnt know what spacers we would need for the wheels until the new suspension was on! So I took a chance & bought a 5mm spacer for the front & Si said he could get a company called G23 engineering to make some on the day if needed (Got no pics of the drop links!)

I now needed to get down to Essex as my friends that run a club called Rollhard were having a big meet before the Players show on Sunday. I managed to get there late but it was still really busy & the car seemed to go well. After all the work over the last few weeks getting everything from wheel bolts, spigots, spacers, wheels & suspension & stressing out it finally paid off at the show.
Anyway enough of me going on ill let the pictures do the rest, Some may not like it but I love it & thats all that matters. Yes its low for shows but takes 20mins to raise the car & drive it how I want to.

Ill say it again.

Just needs the AKS shifter bracket bushes now
Ttrs calipers with 362mm floating discs can be done for around the 2k mark. Just hard to find the caliper second hand. No real need for the master upgrade then. Pads are half the price too.
I asked Mike about them but think you had only just made your first set? How much are they?
I am going to go for some 8 Pot R8 calipers & floating disks by Dave B & get the master upgrade
-
Ill say it again.

Thanks again Mike, 95% of it built by Statllers & id only ever trust them with the car
-
Lovely!! My sort of vag car- show with go!
-
Amazing car!! :happy2:
Not the gold wheels thou....sorry!
-
Will the 8 pots fit under the rims? I have to say I'm in love with the rims.
Bracket bushes are in stock. Price is 30 quid. 2 quid to post those. If you have the metal bracket then it needs removing and the bushes pressing in, but they can be fitted in situ with the plastic bracket.
-
Turinis have been sold now, Need 19's for daily but I was still not happy getting rid of them
Ive still have over 40mm of thread left on the coils too.
Not often I hear "Need 19's for daily..." :happy2:
No, just track low chief. There are too many impracticalities with my daily drive/living to go silly low. The AP's are just below halfway at the moment so some room to play with.
Looks like it's GTR pace. I'd love to see it versus one on track :driver:

Ye loads of space as they are bbs motorsport wheels that are fitted to race cars with big brakes & I tried the turini which have alot less space over the setup I want and there was still room.
Ill get in touch soon then as I want them, the black caps & some superpro bushes, You dont know how much the Miltek decat pipe is for mine do you? I know Steve can get me one but would be nice to know how much they are

If you are after a cheap bush kit minus the console bushes then have a chat with berg. He has a brand new kit from me that he will sell at the gb price. I've been trying to setup with milltek since I started AKS. I can order, but only by phone. Steve is sorting out the online dealer section for me as Charlie has been, well Charlie.
What are the wheels exactly from and are they direct fitment?
-
Ok thanks, Not sure what they were originally from but I bought them from a 400bhp mk4 golf that had them fully rebuilt & was on the car for one 400 mile trip. The wheels are 5x114 so jap fitment but with wobble bolts they are fine
-
Stunning just doesn't cover that, my dream wheels. Was hovering over them on edition for ages but funds never allowed.
Fair play mate, great to see such an all rounder.
-
I have some pics of your car from players this year. I spoke to you on the day but didn't realize that you posted on here.
Nice S3

went thorugh this build thread...gotta say I love it mate!
how did you find the 8pot brakes fitting behind the wheel? much clearance?

There was abit of room on the turinis but not sure how much on the BBS yet but it should be even more room

Thanks comments like that keep me wanting to post up the progress.
I would love for you to keep posting. I went for the white gti over a white s3 after months of decision making! Looking at yours...well its just awesome. Soooo nice. Please keep posting and working on her. She clearly has a fantastic owner.
Can I ask please, you've obviously got the car dropped and you've got some quite big rims on. Do the tyres touch the shock absorbers? I want to drop my gti at the back a bit more but can't too much simply because the rims I have would rub! I even have spacers on but they still would rub. Just wondering if you have come across this at any stage?

Thanks, It all depends what width & et your wheels are. Also it could depend on your suspension as with my bilstein suspension it was really close but with these custom H & R & adjustable top mounts it isnt but I did have to use a 5mm spacer on the front to clear the strut but only because the wheels are 9" all round
love the wheels :driver:
Thanks
-
That's is perfect mate!! Stunning.
-
Seen this today at statllers. And my god is it low lol, i ment to say hi but you looked a bit busy messing about with the wheel fitment! Top motor

Excellent thank you. I think i'm just going to plough on and lower the thing. If it rubs i'll change it. I've had to change the set up to put my wheels on anyway being 9.5 at the front and 8.5 at the back. Cheers.

Update 13/04 - Airlift Performance Struts & Accuair Management
I thought id never go for air as I like to drive the car how its meant to be driven with 360bhp+ but I had a couple of test drives & some opinions of people I know & was told it would handle good. I then heard you had to take the front arb out which was a big no for me running h&r adjustable arbs but then I spoke to my new car friend  Vick (This guy just sees me coming £££) who is now helping out at Design 4 Automotive with Shiv & he told me there was a new kit coming out that would have adjustable top mounts & also the mounting bracket for the front arb so I was sold. I then thought ive gone this far I might aswell go all way & get Accuair for easy use. Ive still got to get an alignment/camber done to go lower but it didn't sit that bad to say we finished fitting the air the night before Early edition. I actually cant believe how well the car handles & it isn't that far off the bilstein race coilovers I had on the car which are meant for the track!!
Just want to say a massive thanks to Vick & Shiv at Design4Automotive & also Sunny & the rest of the guys at HTS Motorsport if any of you need air & fitting I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.
Ill get some pictures of the install later but ive gone for it simple which is what I want for when the buckets, cage & stripped out look happen later.
Thanks to everyone that took the pictures  Even though I dint have the centre caps on & the car was filthy & covered in tar spots from not being washed for 3 weeks!!
Accuair posted my car up on Instagram too & it got a few likes  My mates told me it made the popular page!
