Title: Bit of a cock up!! :ashamed: Xenon H7/D2S...
Post by: leebob on January 04, 2016, 12:44:32 pm
Hi guys and girls,

So last night in a mad rush i bought some Xenon headlights on the bay! only after reading the add correctly after I had won them I relied they are H7/D2S meaning they will only fit a car that has already had Xenons right!?

so whats involved in retro fitting these to my car and what do i need to do so??.......Or is it even worth bothering with!! should I just put them back up for sale :(

Thanks in advance

Think you need ignitors and adapters....

I bought these TYC Aftermarket Xenon H7/D2S. came across them with a couple of minutes left and just couldn't help myself but bid lol.

My car is a 2005 GTI with the standard halogen lights. well auto lights if that makes a difference!

If they have 12 pin connections then you will need the adapter to fit onto your cars 10 pin connector

I'd sell um for a tidy price as you'll most likely need the ballasts, igniters and adaptors to fit these on a gti non xenon from factory. these parts will cost you twice the price you paid for the lights which is probably why I didnt will a set 6 weeks ago for £185 without ballasts or igniters sell them as singles or a pair and you'll get much more than you paid for them.  :happy2:
