Lads,
I'm driving my car over 2 years and have never had a flat but if I ever did get one I don't actually have the wheel wrench in the kit with my spare wheel.
Any idea where I can get one that will fit into the existing foam mould?

I might have one mate, whereabouts are you based

Any VW dealer. Probably not expensive and it will fit the cut out.
Or have you already thought of buying from VW??

I have a full garage of tools, that's not the problem. I mean if I'm on the motorway and need to replace with the spare!
I recall asking about it last time I was getting parts and the guy quoted me something ridiculous like £40

Something like this would do, better than the OE wrench...

Good call, now will it fit in the existing insert within the mould in the boot is the next question!

Probably not, but you could make it fit... :signLOL: :signLOL:

Getting the wheel nuts off can only be half the problem, the other half being getting the wheel of the hub :sad1:

I always carry one of these in the boot, as usually find that the tiny VW one doesn't give enough leverage. Got mine from Halfords (more expensive but likely no better than eBay one).

I've got two like this (http://www.wilko.com/car-care-products/wilko-wheel-nut-wrench-telescopic/invt/0184173) one in each car think they came from Aldi or Lidl :ashamed: for about the same price - you can easily cut the foam in the boot with a stanley knife to make it fit and it looks quite neat, under the boot
