Does anyone know anywhere in East London that could activate the AUX-IN on my stock RCD 300 radio at noon rip-off prices?
I have connected what should be the AUX-IN to a Nokia hands free Bluetooth set to allow me to stream music but pressing CD twice to get AUX-IN does nothing.
I went to Alan Day VW and they quoted £152
to "diagnose the problem" (implying extra to fix it) I was expecting to pay around £30 to get this activated having read around. That encounter didn't end very well...
Any ideas from anyone who has had to do similar things please?

Check out the VCDS register below there may be a member near you that could do it for a couple of beer tokens.

Is it an aftermarket Aux in? If so then not sure it can be "activated" by VCDS or VW. These work by fooling the RCD 300 into thinking that 6 CD changer is connected. They have a box of electronics, not just a wire.
I have one fitted on my RCD 300 & worked out of the box with no coding needed.

The silver buttoned RCD300 can be coded for Aux-In 'mode'.
This is different to fooling the RCD300 to think a CD changer is connected.
It is literally a matter of changing one digit. Don't pay more than £5.

It's just the right, left and ground channels attached to a plastic clip that goes into the back of the radio with a 3.5 mm jack at the other end, no fancy electronics. Although if all else fails, I might have to look into the false CDC method...
