Couldn't agree more Andy.
I had the saddest drive from Wiltshire to Heathrow this morning with Sean Keavny on R6 obviously very moved by the terrible news and outpouring of grief. I was lucky enough to work with David Bowie for 2 days filming interviews for an upcoming Tim Machine tour many years ago and I have the fondest memories of the man, his good nature and wonderfully warm nature.  He took the proverbial out of the journalists who were interviewing him, each getting different answers to their mainly similar tour questions, with a cheeky wink to us, the camera crew. Within an hour we were sharing biscuits and cigarettes, he knew all our names and he made everyone feel like they'd known him years. He was and will always be a musical genius but he was a true gentleman too. A terrible loss to music and the world. RIP.

Yes fond memories!

Plenty at Brixton tonight on the One Show paying their respects.

Saw him at Glasto 2000. Stood out on the 'sunday after'.

Thing is, we all die. We know this. But where are the people to take his place? Last ones came and went in the 90s.

Sad day, sadder future.
