Bit of a weird one this, but some of you may of already had a similar or same experience, but when turning the steering from lock to lock the car lifts and kind of twists (Very strange).
The car is very floaty and has a tendency to wonder across the road, its been like this quite a while now. I had it 4 wheel aligned 12 months or so ago, so I was wondering if the front top mounts/bearings could be knackered?
Are the Febi replacements any good? and is it best to change the bearing and the rubber mount?

anyone shed some light on this? :sad1:

Don't have the answer to your question but if you are planning on replacing top mounts, have a look into replacing them the RS3 ones. If your not sure about the RS3 top mounts also, there are plenty of links available to read from a quick search on google :happy2:

All cars go up and down when you turn your steering wheel mate.
When top mounts are worn, you'll usually hear squeaking when going over a hump and coming down.
Have your anti roll bushes checked before wasting money on top mounts that you'll probably not need.
Check your tyre pressures.
Check tyres for uneven wear pattern.

Also, what are your tyres like? Tramlining can get worse the more the tyre wears. Currently have the same problem with F1s at 3mm tread depth. It's all over the shop.

I used my last set of F1 Asys 2 until lower than 2 mm and I never felt that they tramlined. I have them on my GT Sport with 17'' wheels.

Isn't wandering a sign that the dampeners may be getting a bit tired.
