Evening folks.
Rather irritating problem has raised its head on the Golf. Had the car MOT'd on Monday and naturally, a side light bulb failed nearly straight after - so, replaced both with LED replacements from Halfords, the brighter white appeals rather than the piss stained yellow look. (They're non xenon units i should add).
So replaced both side lights now none of them work? They come on briefly when the car is started but extinguish after maybe 5/10 seconds? The yellow warning light is lit on the dash also?
I've checked the fuse diagram but it really doesn't make much sense, the handbook (if i'm reading it correctly) states there should be a fuse in a certain area but it doesn't appear to be there? Can anyone help? Do these cars not like LED's? It was LED bulbs that came out of it so i'm really stumped as to what it is!
I've phoned a local specialist but i'd rather ask around these parts first!
Thanks guys!
Dan

Turn the bulbs around meaning flip them over and refit and see if that helps.
PS they dislike led's and I've also got Cambus error free ones in mine yet still have a warning on the dash when I start up saying right hand side light defective amd when I turn off and switch the car on again I get left hand side light defective and the yellow error bulb symbol on the dash.

Dan,
LED's are polarity based unlike normal bulbs (+ve feed has to go to +ve on the led)
If they have the correct resistance to stop Can-bus activating then it should simply be a case of taking them out and rotating them 180'. :happy2:
