Any ideas?

Looking at where it's coming from I'd say it's a vac pipe for a boost gauge
-
went outside and braved the cold to investigate. Seems to go down towards the turbo.
-
Probs running through the bulk head down there
-
Though the grommet would be higher up. Needed to check canbus tomorrow so will have a nosey.

Do you know if you definitely have an OEM diverter valve on the turbo?
Forge units operate using a vacuum that would follow that route between the valve and the intake manifold. Or as others have said for a boost gauge.
Obviously not my image. The pipe running from the vacuum tap (lower right of the manifold) and cable tied to the metal pipe (fuel rail?).

I was also thinking that but didn't know how this was possible until now hahaha

that the one best accessed by removing drivers wheel?

Yes it's meant to be on out k03 turbos. ko4 have them in you're face like a 5 minute job to replace lol
Yours may have a lovely relocation kit fitted but you'll need to take the engine cover off and take a picture for someone to say yay or nay.
