A good dent repair man could get it out,
-
my opinion NO you would never be happy with it, too close to the badge swage and the screen to do without a fill and paint , plenty of cheap tailgates about cut your losses and fit a good black one :happy2:
Sorry Rob

Yes and no :popcornsoda:
To get a black one cheap in very good scratch less condition and then refit any missing parts is going to be a pain tbh and I'd rather not get into that if possible.
I was thinking a heat gun gently heating the inside untill it feels warm enough to push out might do the trick???
I'm going to see what dansmith180 says as he works for a company that do paintless dent repairs. If not then I'll have to buy a black boot lid and mess about with fitting it.
Thanks

check some of the prices on here , don't seem to be GTI but cheaper than dent repair ?

Hmm I'm not sure you'll get that out without a bit of filler and paint. I looks a bit deep. At the bottom and top of the dent it would of pushed out over from the original contour of the boot too so that'll have to be knocked back in too

I'll have a go at it and if it doesn't work, the guy who I've messaged may be taking some money off of me this week.
