Hi all!
I'm after fitting a dump valve to my mk5 gti but unsure what to go for. From reading up I've found that most people are keeping clear of the forge spacers. So what other options are available?
Cheers, Dan!

Standard!!

I want a little more noise though!
-
I had a bov fitted for about 2 weeks than removed it as did y head in :signLOL:

VW Revision G diverter valve.
If you want noise get an aftermarket intake.
-
As above, get an intake, add a remap and you'll have all the noise you want
-
Yeah I've been looking through the forum and everyone seems to go down the intake route. The Ramair one looks good value too so I might have to invest in one of those.
Does it make the car more thirsty though?

The O.E Revisions are good but once you start tuning your vehicle then you really need to look at maybe a Forge Item.. They certainly hold boost alot better over the Stock valves
-
There must be many tfsi owners with blow off valves on and not complaining as I did it to my tt but got fed up of the bailey dump valve as it was mega loud so changed thay for a Forge recirculation valve. When I replaced the turbo tip to 3inch and fitted a cone filter to that is when I heard a lovely sound from the filter sucking in and whossssh whossssh :jumping:
I have this spare if anyone is interested.

No chance. The stock valve is far better. Do you have any proof that the Forge is better at holding boost than a stock G valve?

i have a forge dump valve fitted to mine and i only own the car since last friday and its doing my head in.
first chance i get to put it up on the ramps its coming off.
too much noise. i dont want to be heard coming a mile down the road.

GFB DV+ for me.
-
I've just fitted a Neuspeed P-Flo intake to mine as i wanted some extra noise and i'm truly amazed at how loud it is. Really no need for a DV with one of these intakes.
-
PUDDING does the gfb dv+ make more noise?
-
Not that I've noticed.
-
I think Niki from Rtech has been reviewing the GFB DV recently. not sure of the outcome yet though

He has detected fake GFB DV+. I still need to know if all genuine items work properly. I bought one genuine recently that I ordered from the official European online store and sold by SuperPro Deutschland. I should find out soon if it works well.
-
Jesus, is there nothing that doesn't get faked these days?! I wonder if my missus is fake
Anyway, they appear to work well. I don't really get the workings of it if I'm honest but I've tried the original cheese one, rev D, rev G and the GFB DV+. The GFB definitely feels the more responsive off boost and holds boost the best, which lets face it, is the main reason we replace them because the rubber OEM ones can't handle aftermarket boost pressures.
Regarding R Tech testing DVs, didn't they mention the spring in the Rev G isn't strong enough for high boost, or something?

If R-Tech have said that are they referring specifically to Ko4's? Because I was asked to remove my Forge DV prior to going to see them on the 23rd of March and replace with the Rev G. Having done that, I can feel that the Rev G helps boost lower down by around 200-300rpm, but for sure it's flatter across the entire rev range than the Forge DV and it's very noticeable. I used to spike at around 21. 5psi, hold at 18psi and taper off to around 13/14psi, but now I'm sure I'm not getting above 20psi and it seems to taper off more significantly too. I'm intrigued to see what happens come Wednesday.

Revision G on my 6R, Ran the same on my Edition 30.
Both made very healthy figures at R-Tech both pre and post a Stage 1 map.
