56 plate with 60k on clock. Been fine until this morning. Started up from cold was really lumpy and sound like running on 3 cylinders, knocky from bottom end. Turned off and started again still lumpy but less, then cleared itself and ran fine into work. No difference in power and no hesitation. Going to let it cool down and try at lunch. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks

Perhaps as its been getting progressively colder recently (today where I am -6) then it’s just down to that? Like you say just try again – but by lunch time it will be warmer.

Its been colder than that in the past and never done that before. Could it be a dodgy MAF sensor? What are the symptoms?

First of all, establish if it is a one-off or if it does this every time (going forward)
Could be one of any number of things that caused it

Lumpy on first start after being sat overnight COULD be head gasket as water could slowly leak into a cylinder over night.
Unlikely on a tfsi but worth checking as you never no.
Get it scanned with VCDS if it's happening regularly
