Best to use a drill to break the red lense, just drill loads of holes along the middle until larger pieces break off and then simply unclip the old light and replace. Use some silicone for a better water tight fit round the edges

The spoiler should be removed to do the swap correctly...others have done it and risking damage to the light mounts. You can do it by busting out the old light...and the only risk you take is having to do it the correct way if it fails. I would try removing the spoiler without breaking it...and use the proper adhesive for the reattachment.

It seems a lot more daunting than the reality is. Just be careful when breaking the lens bit and take your time. Once that is off the PCB and black plastic bit underneath is very weak and easy to rip out. PCB on mine was corroded and rotten from water so basically fell out when yanked with pliers. Having done it once it would take less than 5 minutes to do again.
