I believe all these to be electrical errors.
So
seatbelt
When I first bought the car, the seatbelt light and noise kept dinging. The seller assured me this had never happened before (poor guy). It did it all the way home, and since then has never done it again! Untill this morning. Hopefully it doesn't do it again, but just wondering why it does?
Mirrors
Recently swapped my old mk5 haggered switches for nice new shiny mk6. I don't think theyre genuine however. Previously, only driver side mirror heating would work (put it down to a fuse or something in the mirror) Now neither do.
Also, when I toggle the switch to the passenger mirror, it works fine. However, on the driver mirror it moves both at the same time! So to set them I have to set the right (and therefore left :laugh:) and then set the left afterwards :signLOL:
Seats
Heated leather seats. Removed them to clean the car out the other week. Recently I noticed the lumbar support does not move anymore. The heating still works however.
Windows
Think ive mentioned this in a thread elsewhere, but it is related somewhat. When my window is open, if I shut it, it jumps up for a second before going all the way down! So annoying! I have performed the "window reset" by opening the window and holding the switch for five seconds and the same again shutting it with no avail.
Any advice, on any of it :smiley:

You have an option in the comfort menu of the MFA to sync both mirrors when you adjust the drivers mirror. So you 1st adjust the drivers mirror and then you adjust the other mirror. When someone different drives your car, he/she only has to adjust the drivers mirror, since the other will follow the adjustment. :smiley:

Ah I see. I might keep it as it is then, makes sense. I just thought it was a fault! If I were to disable the sync, do I do it through VCDS?

If you don't have a full FIS in the cluster with a Comfort Menu, I guess that's the only way to disable it. :confused:

Whats the full FIS in the cluster? I don't really know any of these terms! I have a highline clock but no polarFIS or anything...

MFA+ = full FIS = highline clocks
Do you have a Comfort Menu that can do various settings?

Oh, I thought highline clocks were just where the display is full height, opposed to half height where the cut-off is half way, hence highline being a high line as such
I don’t recall seeing any comfort settings, although I might do! I’ll have a look later

MFA = half FIS (display) with board computer = midline clocks
half FIS without board computer = lowline clocks

Seatbelt chime - disable the feature in VCDS, the microswitch / sensor has gone bad.
Windows - Spray loads of silicon spray in the rubber channels in the door frame.

Oh I see that makes sense. So I guess I must have highline with comfort settings.

Mine did the same thing when I got it but I wasn't about to take the seat out just to fix that, so disabled it :smiley:
Silicon spray sorted that problem in mine. It's because the glass gets 'dry' in it's channels, tricking the load sensing fail safe into action.

You should be able to access the Comfort Menu by switching from the different options in the cluster display: Audio, Navigation, Comfort Menu, Board Computer, Telephone, PolarFIS, Info. I think those are all my options. :happy2:

I dont have the same options as you shoduchi but I do have the option to control mirrors. Thanks for your help
